There are moments when I want to dance without reservation. I did make that happen several times, but only in my mind, lol! Today was no different. Feeling drained from the day's comings and goings, I slumped on the couch, started playing random tunes, and accidentally stumbled upon something that seemed to have awakened my veins, so I turned the volume up, and danced. Really? You bet 😅

Anyhow, the song above is said to be the highest-charting song by a Korean female solo artist on the UK Singles Chart.(src)
Curiosity had me checking out her bio, where I learned she is the first Korean soloist to win a Billboard Women in Music Award and more throughout her music career. Interestingly, it was mentioned that she is also the most-followed Korean individual on Instagram. She's popular, huh!
But 'nuff of that, and here's another song of hers that I like.
Jennie - You & Me
A dance-pop & electronic dance music, something I would not normally listen to, but I really liked it (just as its lyrics say) today.
Accordingly, this track is Jennie's second solo single after five years after "Solo" which coincidentally is my third recommended tune.
Jennie - Solo
Released in 2018 as her debut single, it was described as a dance, pop, and hip-hop song with electronic dance music elements.
Per Wiki, it won two awards (Artist of the Year and Best Digital Song). In addition, "it is the first music video by a female K-pop soloist to reach one billion views on the platform."(src)
Jennie's fame started when she auditioned in 2010 for YG Entertainment (South Korean multinational entertainment agency that operates as a record label, talent agency, music production company, event management and concert production company, and music publishing house). She succeeded and joined as a trainee.
Interestingly, Jennie is known for her fashion style and was dubbed "The Human Chanel," hence the title of this post. She serves as a global ambassador for the brand.
