Woah...oo ๐Ÿ˜‚, it's quite
obvious I'm at home in this community, @hivenaija. Though I have been appearing here in the weekend threads some times before it finally came to an end. This is actually my first post in this community, hopefully I'm accepted ๐Ÿ˜€. Thank you all very much, I appreciate.

Question:

Recall a moment of hope during a difficult time. Describe what happened.

Life indeed is full of unexpected challenges, life is unpredictable, lots of unbelievable things do happen to innocent souls. Most times, only the pain of a pinch on your skin makes you realize it's still you and no other else.

There are days but there are certain other days, this is actually the story of my life.

In May, 2017 I had a sudden and unbelievable accident.

What happened;

A family friend in my church invited my family for her mother in-law's burial somewhere in a village called "ALOR" in Anambra in the south eastern state of Nigeria .

My family agreed I was going to attend, she brought the uniform "ashebi" a date was fixed for the travel, an 18 seater bus was provided for our to and fro to the venue. On that faithful morning, we gathered at the designated location and zoomed off to the unknown venue after much prayers

Getting there in the evening straight to the wake keeping from there to the hotel rooms rented for us for that purpose.

Ladies two persons in a room upstairs the same for our men downstairs, we slept very late that night, the next day we dressed very well with our uniform "ashebi" we looked different and special, coming from Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory then my family was living there.

All eyes were on us, we danced and showed off. Her mother in-law was at 93 years old, it was a celebration of life no crying at all, we were dancing and eating after lowering her corpse into the grave, we retired again to our hotel rooms that night.

Early the next day which was the third day, we left back to our station, Abuja. We got to Abuja on time not at night. Getting to my bus stop, I alighted, my bus stop then was Charle boy at Dawaki/ Gwarinpa estate axis where we lived then.

This bus stop is very close to my house but since I was tired coming from a very long distance, I decided to take motorcycle "okada".

Hehehe, hmm, guess what happened to me.

I never knew a horrible situation was waiting for me just immediately we moved, a car knocked us down, both of us were on the ground, my right leg and near my right eyes were furiously bleeding uncontrollably.

I couldn't believe my eye, I was just asking.. is this meee, is this meee? People gathered persuaded the driver to take me to a hospital he did. The motorcyclist missed out, no body saw him again since he didn't sustained any injury.

Both Dr and nurses on duty attended to me, cleaned the blood stitched the wounds, I called my family as they came, some were crying as I was crying too, my husband terribly regretting askin me to go, I was also regretting, blaming myself for going.

That was how I became hospitalized, could not believe it was happening to me, for many weeks the wounds refused to heal, I was discharged going for wound dressing yet not. Until a woman in my neighborhood took me to a natural treatment center by a woman, with roots and herbs as you can see me here.

Within me, I had hope of coming clean out of this scenario, I was optimistic, praying and believing God I started getting better, learning again how to walk, though it didn't touch my bones yet I couldn't walk properly very painful, some said my bone will get rotten, I kept praying, she kept applying this blended brown mixture by a month's time, God heard and healed me completely.

Unbelievable:

Do you know that both the husband and wife I went for never came visiting or calling me despite that they heard it from other church members even my husband went and told them yet they didn't care.

I left all to God who did not allow me to die that day. God delivered me from a situation I never prepared for or expected.

Inspiration from this scenerio to me,

It's of God's mercies that we are not consumed, safety is of the Lord.
