El día de ayer asistió a mi primer evento gamer en mi ciudad, la verdad siempre he estado pensando, si llegan hacer alguna actividad de entrada gratis para esto, me gustaría ir para ver de que se trata y que realizan en este tipo de encuentros.
Yesterday, I attended my first gaming event in my city. I had always thought that if there were ever a free event like this, I’d like to go and see what it’s all about and what goes on at these kinds of gatherings.
Desde hace unos días había visto la publicación de este evento por Instagram, en ese momento no le presté atención, luego me volvió a salir y pensé bueno dice entrada libre, y salía el cronograma, decía que actividades iban a realizar, me llamó la atención una en particular, la parte de dibujos e ilustraciones, entonces me dije, intentaré asistir.
Da la casualidad que un día antes del evento, se volvió a ir la luz en mi casa, una falla que ya habíamos tenido, siendo está la tercera vez que sucede, sólo que ya con está finalmente me volvió a quemar la compu,se podrán imaginar mi impotencia y rabia, para completar ese mismo día, se me estrelló el teléfono, esto me puso peor, xq me acordé del evento y mi intención más que todo, era poder tomar buenas fotos y compartirla con ustedes, por ende ya no tenía muchas ganas de ir.
I had seen posts about this event on Instagram a few days earlier but hadn't paid much attention to them at the time. Later, it popped up in my feed again, and I noticed it was free to attend; the schedule listed the planned activities, and one in particular—the drawing and illustration segment—caught my eye, so I decided I’d try to go.
As it happens, the day before the event, the power went out at my house again—a recurring issue I’d dealt with before. This was the third time it had happened, but this time, it finally fried my computer. You can imagine my feelings of helplessness and rage. To make matters worse, I smashed my phone that same day. That upset me even more because I remembered the event; my main goal had been to take good photos and share them with you all, so I no longer really felt like going.

Pero por otra parte me puse a pensar, nada voy hacer quedándome en casa, deprimiendome más, entonces me vesti y me fuí, salí un poco tarde, porque según la programación el evento iniciaba a las 10am, aunque la actividad de dibujo era a las 10:30@m, aún así cuando llegue no había mucha gente, y para mí sorpresa, la parte de dibujo era que los iban a poner a realizar ilustraciones, tenía que llevar papel, lápiz y colores, y yo no lleve nada jaja, y menos mal, esas niñas tienen mucha creatividad, y talento, y aunque el arte era libre, obviamente escogieron dibujar sus personajes favoritos de anime.
Les confieso que me sentí bastante perdida en esa parte, ya que yo no soy fans, desconozco mucho de esto, había muchos jóvenes, algunos con vestimenta de estos animes, muy pocos la verdad, y lo otro, que tenían stand ofreciendo diseños, stickers, llaveros, camisas, poster, todos relacionados a distintos animes., también me llamó la atención unos mini libretas, bien bonitas con la portada de algún anime y sus hojas blancas, la chica me dijo que estaba cocidos por dentro las hojas, yo quiero aprender hacerlas jeje.
But then I thought to myself: staying home and getting more depressed won't accomplish anything. So, I got dressed and headed out. I left a bit late; the event schedule said it started at 10:00 AM, though the drawing activity wasn't until 10:30 AM. Even so, there weren't many people there when I arrived. To my surprise, the drawing session involved actually creating illustrations—participants were supposed to bring paper, pencils, and coloring supplies, and I hadn't brought a thing, haha. It turned out fine, though; those girls had so much creativity and talent. Even though the art style was up to them, they naturally chose to draw their favorite anime characters.
I have to admit I felt a bit lost during that part, since I’m not a fan and don't know much about the genre. There were a lot of young people there—some dressed as anime characters, though very few, honestly. There were also booths selling designs, stickers, keychains, t-shirts, and posters, all related to various anime series. I was also drawn to some really cute mini-notebooks featuring anime covers and plain white pages; the girl there told me the pages were stitched together inside. I’d love to learn how to make them, hehe.

Sin duda fue un momento agradable apesar de mi desconocimiento, vi cosas muy bonitas, me sentí extraña rodeada de tantos chamitos jajaja pero bueno, asisti, ví cómo era, tome mis fotos y me vine, el evento tenía otra actividad, entre ellas competencia de juegos, pero eso ya era en la tarde.
Qué les parece, ustedes han asistido a un evento así, los leo.
It was definitely a pleasant time, despite my lack of familiarity with it all. I saw some really nice things and felt a bit out of place surrounded by so many kids—haha—but oh well; I went, saw what it was like, took some photos, and headed back. There was another part to the event—including game competitions—but that wasn't until later in the afternoon.
