We need energy to survive, and food is the source of energy. It means we need to consume food to survive. We are mature enough to understand that we need to eat healthy food to remain fit, but when it comes to a kid, they don't care about it as they don't understand the nutritional value and importance of it.

Most of the kids naturally try to avoid consuming healthy food. I think healthy foods are not so delicious, like junk food or those foods a child usually likes but are not healthy. That's the reason most of children love to eat chocolates, chips, cold drinks, and snack-type items as food, but those are not healthy. Consuming nutritional food is very important, and for that, we use several kinds of tricks to eat healthy food. I have witnessed many tricks like that, and I applied some on my little brother also when he was a kid, and today I am going to share about it.
Fear is the greatest weapon in the time of forcing a child to eat food. Don't worry; I am talking about beating a child. It's an indirect way to force. Most of the time saying to kids, "Eat the food; otherwise, ghosts will come.". Cats/dogs and other animals can be used to replace the ghost, which they are afraid of. My little brother used to be afraid of cats in his childhood. I used to show a cat if he refused to eat healthy food.
Kids are competitive by nature. Even if they don't want to eat healthy food, when it comes to sharing the food with others, they become competitive. "If you don't eat, I will give the food to him (another person).". This line worked as magic and most of time kids eat food. Such a trick was also used for me when I was a child. Kid's psychology is indeed mysterious. I am thinking about how foolish we were in childhood and how, for the competitive nature, we ate such things that we didn't like to eat.
Kids make mistakes many times. They always try their best to keep it secret from their parents. My little brother also made many mistakes that were hidden from his parents. Several times I used to threaten to reveal his secret to parents unless he agreed to eat healthy food. It was a good way to force him to eat even if he didn't want to.
We are living in a digital world. Kids are very much interested in smartphones and always desire to use them. At present, most parents use smartphones to get their kids to eat healthy food. It's a very simple and common trick in recent days, but such a trick is not good for a child in the long run.
Promising to go outside to a kid can also convince them to eat healthy food. I applied almost all of those to my little brother while he was a kid. But all those tricks can't be used every day, as using the same tricks again and again makes them less effective. Although forcing a kid indirectly sounds not ok but it's necessary because eating healthy is very necessary, and after a certain time they will understand the necessity of it, and in that time we don't need to force them.
