I cracked the Top 10 the last season and it makes sense for SL to change the rules. Just Kidding. (We now live in a world where the Jokes have to be declared as jokes.)
Note - I was away slacking off and got back to the gaming just last season. I am not up to date.
Anyway, I played the Wild last season and the season before. I've been wild since the inception of the concept of the Modern and Wild.
And the reason is the cards from the Alpha and Beta packs, they rock. I mean they are the OG.
I mostly love the design and styles of the cards. I mean tell me that you don't love that bug-eyed Goblin Shaman that weakens the opponent and does magic damage. Or the Haunted Spirit, just awesome. Or the damn Sandworm which misses most of the strike but becomes an MVP whenever it strikes.
The list of the cards that I like from that lot is long, I think I love all of the OGs. Then came the Untamed. And it was a game-changer. How? You ask… Because of Legendary summoners. Unlike the Legendary summoner from the previous release, these came with ability modifiers. Like Yodin Zaku’s Blast and Llama’s Last Stand. I hated the legendary summoner (As I couldn't get my hands on them). The game got changed drastically.
I somehow adapted to these menaces, The introduction of Dice threw a wrench in my SL gears. Cool cards especially Maylor and Lorna.
And this is when I realised that the changes are necessary otherwise things will get boring. It wouldn't take awesome players much time to come up with metas and that will be copied by everyone else. And pretty soon we are back to people spamming the same team over and over. And that is what currently happening in the Wild. With access to all the cards and abilities the number of strategies that can be deployed is limitless but that falls flat when your opponents are spamming Meta teams. It is no fun. I would be happy to lose to something like Lyanna Natura and Javelin Thrower in a closed-range match rather than Kron going Super Sayijan on me with the help of llama. I know it is unfair of me to expect my opponent would try to be creative, that person would probably choose something that ensures the victory. After all, everyone is playing to win. Hell, I would be spamming Llama and Kron. (In fact, I rented Kron with the very intention but I resisted Llama.)
Anyway, after a lot of thinking (2mins exactly) I decided that it's time that I move to Modern. And that is what I am going to do. Now I know that things may fall back into the same pattern but here at least I can enjoy a little more. I am looking forward to trying the new Summoners with dual splinter control and ability modifiers that I can choose from. I am also excited about the new abilities.
And my suggestion to the new players would be to go with Modern. Wild is for Savages, It's no training ground and only the Bold can survive there.

I am happy to be able to get that out chest today. Although a million other things (Non-SL related) need to be addressed. Let me ignore that and tell you about these Be Awesome and IndiaUntied communities. Cool people and cool place you will love it there.
