El día lunes pero sobretodo el día de ayer fueron jornadas de muchas emociones y es que las despedidas cada vez serán más comunes, cosa que es obvia, pero también vamos a tener la oportunidad de ver épicas impresionantes como la que fue protagonizada por la Argentina contra Egipto el día de ayer en horas de la mañana/mediodía. Para nadie es un secreto que la albiceleste no está jugando al nivel que muchos esperan, ya habíamos visto lo que Cabo Verde les hizo, ahora tocaba ver lo que una selección un poco más ordenada como la egipcia podía causar. Para sorpresa de absolutamente todo el planeta, a pesar de que la albiceleste vuelvo y repito no están jugando bien, Egipto se fue ganando al descanso.

Capaz hubo cosas que no pitó pero lamentablemente son situaciones que están pasando en todos los partidos. La realidad es que a la Argentina le costó un mundo ganarle a la modesta Egipto, ¿qué pasará contra Suiza?, ¿será este partido el empuje que necesitaba esta selección para terminar de jugar mejor?, porque sin dudas algunos si necesitan un toque de atención.

Y es que si había una selección que necesitó hacer las cosas mejor fue Colombia. El mundial de los cafeteros venía siendo bastante bueno, no ganando con soltura pero si desplegando un juego muy top. Creo que todos estábamos esperando ese Colombia-Argentina en cuartos de final pero al final delante de ellos se encontraron con unos suizos que se sabe que son muy incomodos, en la Eurocopa se puede dar fe de eso. Creo que el partido de ayer fue muy igualado, puede que Colombia haya tenido las más claras pero en líneas generales los suizos lograron contener a una ofensiva colombiana de muy alto nivel. Los europeos tuvieron más el balón pero como dije Colombia contó con más oportunidades de cara al gol. ¿Esto fue una decepción? - para mi si lo fue, nuestros vecinos tenían todo para ganar.

Colombia otra vez se tropezó con la misma piedra de Rusia 2018 cuando quedaron eliminados en octavos contra Inglaterra en penales porque hay que recordar que ellos no clasificaron para Catar 2022, de ahí a que la deuda era más grande. James no tuvo un buen mundial, fue uno muy discreto, diría que fue el unico de la selección que no estuvo a la altura. La conclusión es que el partido de ayer probablemente fue el peor que jugaron con todo y que puede que lleguemos a pensar de que merecían pasar de ronda. Fue una despedida prematura y se nos privó de un gran encuentro en los cuartos de final. Argentina-Suiza; una total incógnita para mi.
