I have had some more free time during the day, so I have found myself playing a bit more than usual. I was focused mainly on skilling, but I am starting to get back into doing Slayer and Bossing. It's been some decent progress because I got 99 construction and leveled my stats to b base 86 now. I am forcing myself to start focusing on those lower skills, so I don't hate myself at the very end.

Slayer and Bossing

I am starting to get back into Slayer and finished one task. It was quite long, as I spent my time at a boss. Besides that, I did one other boss because I wanted one of the newer released items to upgrade a storage item.

Abyssal Sire

The first boss is Abyssal Sire. Ever since the rework, I have thought this was a good boss as it doesn't take as long anymore. I did die twice, once while doing my final combat achievement in the boss, and the other when relearning the boss. Overall, I would say that I profited even after the death fees and supply costs, as I didn't die for the next few hundred kills after.

Sarachnis

Sarachnis is a boss that I am doing for the first time. I find it a fairly low-effort boss, and I enjoyed it as I just had to pick up my drops and heal up between fights. I went here for the Pristine Spider Silk, which upgrades my Herb Sack. It allows me to store 100 of each herb instead of 30, so I can bank less on some tasks. I also took the time to finish up all the combat achievements.

Skilling

I worked on a bunch of skills, but there were three that I focused on: Construction, Smithing, and Sailing. I won't go in-depth on Construction as it was mainly Mahogany Homes, and I greenlogged it during my last update. The cape is amazing though as I can teleport to my house and any house locations using the cape. I also slogged through some agility, but it was only enough to unlock one more monkey backpack. Runecrafting was my afk skill at night, and that has progressed quite a bit as blood runes are moderately afk, and they generate a decent amount of GP.

Giant's Foundry

I decided to go finish the Giants' Foundry log because the Smith's outfit speeds up the smithing grind. It was fairly decent XP per hour, and I think I might go back to it for some XP. Compared to the blast furnace, this was moderate in terms of effort and a lot more chill. The AFK method of bars into dart tips can still be used, but the XP difference between Giants' Foundry is quite large. So if I want to speed it up, I will go to this mini-game.

Sailing

image.pngimage.png
I finally finished Salvaging for the Sea Treasures, and I got the Salvor's Paint from Merchant Shipwrecks. The Paint took me over 28,600 salvages when the drop rate was 1/24,000. It wasn't too dry. As for the compass, I needed 6,800 salvages to get that 1/3000 drop rate. I am currently 96 Sailing, and I think I will run back to salvaging for the dragon cannon barrel until 97 or 98 Sailing. I don't want to focus on doing active Sailing for too much XP.

Conclusion and my plans

It's been great progress on my account as I got a ton of XP, and I had a bit more free time than I expected. I am starting to do Slayer and Bossing again after being burnt out of it from Leagues. In order to not burn myself out, I am trying to work on some of my lower skills instead of leaving them all to last. I am glad that I got the construction cape, as I think it's the best skillcape out there due to its utility.

Do you play Old School Runescape? What did you like most about it, and did you have any goals?
