The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. After the free season of Wild ended, I went back to the modern format. It was rough as I lost quite a few matches, and life got busy. So I didn't get as many fights as I would have liked in the previous season.
Season Rewards
I ended up with 6,734 Glint for last season, which is less than what I was getting before. The biggest factor was that I couldn't play as much as I would like again this season. I did what I could on the days that I had more free time.
This season, I did get some chest advancement rewards, but it wasn't too much. I went from Silver III to Silver I, and it makes me wonder if I should try to decrease my rank to get more chest rewards. I tend to struggle in modern quite a bit as moving up from Silver I seems quite hard right now.
This season, I chose to open 9 rare and 40 common card draws. With the current set going away soon, I thought it was best to start leveling up those common and rare cards. My focus the previous months was on epics and legendaries. I decided not to show the common cards because it was like 40 individual cards and they didn't stack the cards together.
Gladius Packs
I have collected 4 packs since the last time I opened packs. The number of packs is the same as last time because our guild didn't do so great in our recent brawls. I feel that there are even fewer people now playing brawls in our guild, and we aren't even filling all the brawls now. I did get a gold foil card so I think it wasn't the worst opening. Unfortunately, there were no cards that I could upgrade from my gladiators this time around. I am still missing one more BCX before I can upgrade that gold foil card.
SPS
My SPS rewards were lower than last time. It was around what I expected because I didn't do so many ranked battles, and my brawls weren't as good as last time. Let's see how things change over time.
My pool reward for the season is 100.615 SPS. I plan on staking all of this along with all of my staking rewards, for a total of 224.45 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected if I factor in the time difference.
Conclusion
I am still unable to use up all my energy every single day, and I earned less than the previous season. There wasn't much I could do as time was tight and I couldn't do enough fights. With brawls changed after the modern changes, I find myself earning less from brawls. At this point, I am just submitting my brawl fights and doing some fights from time to time. Maybe it's because I haven't felt as motivated to play as much as I can recently.
