Splinterlands: Anasth Soothsayer and Daarg Deadblast are great support monsters

Splinterlands is a complex game and it allows for various different cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various different rulesets applied and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a few of the water cards that I have been using in the Rebellion deck. This is a part of the weekly social media challenge.

Featured Cards

Anasth.png
Anasth Soothsayer is a rare water card that costs 6 mana. This card has the cleanse ability from the start and learns tank heal at level 2, lookout at level 4, dispel at level 6 and dodge at level 8. . This makes it a useful card to have and I only have mine at level 2. This is where it starts becoming quite useful as both cleanse and tank heal are great supportive abilities. At higher level, this card only gets better.

Daarg.png
Possibilus is a legendary water card that costs 7 mana. This card starts with weapons training and swiftness. It learns triage at level 2 and dodge at level 3.This is also another great supportive card.

Rule set, Battle and Plan

The ruleset this time is Aimless, Briar Patch and unprotected. This means that all monsters don't have armor and they have the thorns as well as the scattershot ability. There are 53 mana available and I am left with the choice of fire, water, death, or dragon splinter.

I used Quix as my summoner for the -1 speed and ranged attack. As for my lineup, I decided to go with a magic lineup because of the briar patch ruleset. I also have a taunt monster incase my opponent has sneak, opportunity or snipe. This will give my other cards more time to survive. I have two void monsters up front to tank any damage it takes and I have a tank heal in the back to keep my Baakjira alive. Daarg is there for swiftness as it the chance my monsters attack first when combined with the slow. Chaos dragon is there for the blast because it can help take out those low-health monsters.

At I have a level disadvantage but I do think that I have an advantage because of my taunt monster and the speed difference. My opponent has a few repair monsters so I don't think he paid attention to the ruleset.

Round 2

I was able to take out one monster and dealt decent damage to my opponent's backline. It looks like things will go well.

At this point, I think I have the win. My opponent has lost two more monsters and my lineup is still pretty much strong. The damage difference is there and I still have the speed advantage.

A few rounds later I was able to win the match.

Conclusion

The battle this time around went exactly as I expected. Even though my opponent had a level advantage, I was able to win due to my lineup. My opponent made a few mistakes with the repair monsters and having a speed advantage also helped me kill off my opponent's monsters. Both Daarg and Anasth are great support monsters and they made a difference in this match.
