Splinterlands is a pretty complicated game and there are some interesting battles with all the options available. This is a part of the weekly social media challenge for Splinterlands. For this week, I chose a great battle where I took advantage of my abilities and fatigue to win the match.

Djinn Oshannus is a water splinter that costs 10 mana. It has the ability void from the very first level. It learns phase at level 2 and forcefield at level 3. It's a very good tank monster and I like to use it because it reduces the magic damage.

Rule set, Battle and Plan

The ruleset this time is FiveAlive, Silenced Summoner, and Wands Out. This means that only 5 monsters can be used, summoners have no effects and only magic monsters can be used. There are 32 mana available and I am left with the choice of fire, water, life, death, or dragon splinter.

I used Bortus as my summoner for the level cap on my monsters and it's low mana cost. The summoners don't have any effects. Prismatic Energy is my first tank with magic reflect. After that is a backup tank Djinn Oshannus. The third monster is a support monster with cleanse and tank heal. My fourth monster is another support monster with triage and dispel. My last monster has amplify to increase the magic reflect damage.

Round 1

At first glance, I think this match will be a long fight. I hope the magic reflect will kill off a few monsters but I will be able to outlast my opponent because of tank heal. I don't think I can outdamage the void monster in the backline due to triage. The only plus side is that I do have tank heal and my opponent doesn't.

Round 3

round 3.png
Me and my opponent both lost one monster but the magic reflect didn't kill as much as I would like. Either way with tank heal, my tank won't die at all. It's going to be a long fight until my Djinn Oshannus kills those void monsters. I'll fast forward to the fatigue rounds.

Round 21

round 21.png
My opponent is down to two monsters left because the taunt monster can't heal up at the front. I will win this match when fatigue hits. Fatigue happens after 20 rounds of no winner and each team takes damage every round.

I was able to win the match a few rounds later due to fatigue.

Conclusion

The battle this time around went exactly as I expected. I wasn't expecting for the match to go to fatigue but I was able to win this match using tank heal and void. The taunt, void, and triage combination is tough because I couldn't damage my opponent until his monsters came up to the front.
