Splinterlands is a complex game, and it allows for various cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various rulesets applied, and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a battle where I did well because I had faster and stronger monsters.

Rule Set, Battle, and Plan

The rulesets this time are Standard. This means that no extra modifiers are here. There is also 50 mana available, and I can use any splinter except for dragon.

Chaos Rear Guard42ndReach
Sturdy Axe Warden83rd
A'lan Musketeer84thDouble Strike
Total Mana:33

The focus of this lineup is to keep my monsters alive while dealing damage and outlasting my opponent. My archon is Barthalamas for the +1 speed. My tank isFrankarsgard and my backup tank is Chaos Rear Guard with reach. Following this are my ranged damage dealers Sturdy Axe Warden and A'lan Musketeer.

Round 1

At first glance, I think that this match can go either way, but I have a slight advantage because some of my speed and damage.

Round 3

A few rounds later, my opponent is left with 2 monsters, but I still have 3. My monsters will attack faster than my opponent's, and I have higher speed, so I can't miss. So this is my win.

I won later that round.

Conclusion

I won the match because my strategy of worked out. Going with a fast damage lineup worked out well against the generic magic build my opponent had. All that damage just didn't my opponent the chance deal damage before mines was applied.

You can see my entire match here.

What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.
