Splinterlands is a complex game, and it allows for various cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various rulesets applied, and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a great battle where I won because I used Kron the Undying.

Featured cards

Kron the Undying is an earth splinter that costs 10 mana. This splinter starts with the heal ability. This card learns divine shield at level 2 and last stand at level 3.

Rule Set, Battle, and Plan

The rulesets this time are Outsider. This means that I can use one wild unit. There is also 60 mana available, and I can use every splinter except water.

Total Mana:59

The focus of this lineup is to keep my monsters alive while dealing damage and outlasting my opponent. My archon is Underboss Fabino for the +2 melee damage on 2 units. Ulundin Overseer is my tank with flank, and Mantaroth is my backup tank. After that are two opportunity monsters. Following that are Kron and Fenmoor with blind. This lineup is built around dealing as much damage as I can. If the match goes into overtime, that is where Kron will shine due to that heal and magic damage.

Round 1

At first glance, I think that this match is my win. My opponent's damage is too spread out and it can't outdamage my lineup.

Round 3

A few rounds later, I still have all my monsters, but my opponent is down to 1. I have this match won because my opponent can't deal any damage.

I won the match later that round.

Conclusion

The battle this time did go exactly as planned. My lineup just overpowered my opponent, but bringing in Kron just made my lineup that much more overpowered. My opponent would be faced with a high self-healing monster in the middle of the battle and that is hard to overcome without as many monsters.

You can see my entire match here.

What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.
