Splinterlands is a complex game, and it allows for various cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various rulesets applied, and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a great battle where I saw a battle where I took advantage of the ruleset.
Rule Set, Battle, and Plan
The rulesets this time are What Doesn't Kill You. This means that all monsters gain the enrage ability. There is also 27 mana available, and I can use any splinter except for life and dragon.

My summoner is Underboss Fabino for the +2 melee damage. I have Croire as my tank with Flank. After that is Halfling Refugee as a backup tank. I have two opportunities monsters after with Blackmoor Trickster as my last monster
The focus of this lineup is to keep my monsters alive while dealing damage and outlasting my opponent. I am relying on the opportunity ability to focus my damage on my opponent's low health monsters. The enrage can buff up the speed of any damaged monsters, and it increases damage on melee monsters. By focusing down monsters, I can stop my opponent from taking advantage of the ruleset. My last monster is just filler that will soak up damage from sneak monsters.
Round 1
At first glance, I think that this match is my win. My opponent's monsters are quite slow outside of 1, so my monsters will be able to deal quite a bit of damage.
Round 4
A few round later, my opponent is down to 1 monster while I have 4 left. Unless I miss all my attacks for a few rounds, I have this match won due to my opponent's low health.
I won later that round.
Conclusion
The battle did go exactly as planned. My opportunity monsters made quick work of the damaged monsteers, and this allowed me to focus down a few monsters. By doing so, my opponent dealt less damage to me, and this improved my odds in this match.
