Hello pals...it's another moment to read about what is common among the seer.
One of the most dangerous seasons in a seer prophet's life is when a wound begins speaking with the voice of discernment.
Because wounds can be convincing. Very convincing.

A person reminds you of someone who betrayed you and suddenly you feel uneasy around them. A leader carries traits similar to someone who once wounded you and immediately suspicion rises. Someone corrects you and something inside you reacts before wisdom has a chance to speak.
The problem is not that you are sensing something. The problem is that unhealed pain can attach itself to genuine perception. And when that happens, it becomes nearly impossible to tell whether you are discerning the present or reacting to the past.
This is one of the quiet battles of prophetic formation, especially for seers. Because seers are naturally sensitive. They notice shifts, atmospheres, patterns, undercurrents. But sensitivity without healing can become dangerous. Not because the gift is false, but because pain can distort what the gift is seeing.

This is why some seer prophets become increasingly suspicious as they grow older. They call it discernment. But often it is accumulated disappointment looking for evidence.
The Lord never intended discernment to make you fearful of people. He never intended prophetic sight to make you cynical. True discernment brings clarity. Wounds produce reactions. And the two are not the same thing.
We see this in Elijah after Mount Carmel. Jezebel released one threat and suddenly Elijah expected death everywhere he looked. His emotional state had begun shaping how he viewed reality. The Lord had to pull him aside, not because the prophet had lost his gift, but because the prophet needed restoration.
Seer prophet, hear this carefully. Not every strong feeling is discernment. Not every discomfort is a warning. Not every reaction came from the Holy Spirit. Sometimes the Lord is revealing something around you. Sometimes He is revealing something within you. And wisdom is knowing the difference.
One of the signs of prophetic maturity is that your healing becomes deep enough that your wounds no longer get a vote in how you interpret what you see.
You're reading from your handsome friend John Petra!
One love.
