I haven't been posting much religious content over the past few weeks and it's not being done on purpose...

In fact, I feel like my spiritual walk these days is getting better and better, but for whatever reason, I haven't posted much. That changes tonight, mainly because I had quite the ah ha moment this week when it came to some family worship ideas we've been trying here.

Worship.

That word means so much to so many people...And it's a pretty important topic for God as well.

Look at the book of Revelation, and it all comes down to choosing who we worship in the end days. Man or God. Tradition or the Bible. Worship the beast or worship our Creator. It all comes down to choice and fancy enough....How we worship is a choice as well!

(As long as we are worshipping God that is ;))

But alas....Our daily worship life in our family has been....Lukewarm at best. There are some days we are fired up, we bring the family together and worship together. There are other days it's a quick 'Thanks God, we pray for each other, Amen.' and then off to work and school...

And sadly, there are other days where there is literally nothing...And that has been something my wife and I have been committed to changing in our home.

We decided to try something new this week and only a few days into it, we are so excited for how it's been going.

It may seem simple enough, and even straight forward to many but for us we have just decided to spend time reading out loud the gospels and then talking about what we just read!

Here's the thing, it might take us 10-15 minutes to read the scripture for the study but then we've end up spending like 2 hours some nights just talking about it. If we had questions about what read, we discussed it, looked words and phrases up and checked various bible commentaries on the scripture.

And just WOW!

What a blessing it's been...No pressure of a reading schedule, we just read 10 verses each, take our turns and after the chapter is done...We start to talk about it.

Now this is a style of worship we are choosing because we are both believers, and it might not be one size fits all for others. But if you do have a believing spouse, I can't recommend this method of worship enough. It truly has been a game changer for us...We are looking forward to what's next to dive into it, and I know my wife is pumped up because as soon as I got home from work today she asked...

"What time do you want to worship tonight?"

LOL That has rarely ever happened in our almost 10 years of marriage.

And that's a big win right, of course we are growing close to God. We are learning the bible even more. Discovering scripture in a much deeper way. But we're also growing closer together. Huge!

I mean again, it's only been a few days...But so far, it's been one of, if not the most, rewarding worship experiences I've ever had!
