As you guys know, I stepped away from online marketing and ownership of all the projects I spent decades on. One of the greatest aspects of running online businesses for all these years are the people you meet along the way.

I've met a ton of awesome people! Some of them, I continue to have relationships with to this day because once you 'meet' online, and share the same interests....Things just take a natural course. A year of working together with someone, turns into a decade and before you know....They become a part of your journey.

In December 2017 I joined the blockchain and got 'really' excited about. I remember going into the community chat for CTP and telling everyone...

"I found it!"

At the time, most people ignored it...But there was a guy who literally, jumped on board the exact same time I did.

That guy was @ericburgoyne

If you look at the date of joining the chain, he got his account fired up within a month or so from when I got signed up. Because back then, you were at the mercy of the glorious Steemit Inc to provide you with account keys.

Eric jumped on board and was attracted to this blockchain from day one.

He spent a bunch of time in the Sports Talk Social community, but was always active in pretty much everything we did in CTP. Recently, he had jumped into with both feet into InLeo!

Sadly, I got new this afternoon that Eric passed away last week.

I'm not sure of all the details, but I know he had been battling health issues his entire life. He was pretty much fighting his health ever since I knew him, but he never seemed to complain. He had issues, but it didn't slow him down.

On top of that, over the past few years, he was taking care of his significant other as she went through some of her own health issues too. She had trips in and out of hospital, and Eric was with her every step of the way. He put her first, even though he was dealing with his own stuff.

I'm going to miss Eric. I'm going to miss his presence here on chain and the journey we shared together on Hive.

Right now, I'm praying for Sharon, that she finds comfort in some way. It's just awful when your partner leaves this earth. If you are the praying type, if you could keep her in your prayers tonight, that would be much appreciated.

Rest well Eric, and thank you for adding so much to my journey over the years.
