Human beings are a curious bunch....

Deep down, we know right from wrong. It's ingrained in us from birth, and while it might take us a few years to figure it out, we generally know.....Love is love and evil is evil. We know, that hurting someone at the end of the day is evil. Yet here we are, hurting our Savior every time we sin.

This verse always hits home.

Seriously, sometimes I read this verse in the book of Hebrews and I get emotional. If you a follower of Christ, this verse should seriously convict you to think of how you act day in and day out.

Remembering that we are fallen, and in need of a Savior. The problem with Christianity is that the majority of it seems to tell you....Oh keep sinning, you are right with God because Christ died for you. Yes, this is true BUT and the big but is seen right here in Hebrews 6:6.

And if you don't want to take the apostles opinion of it, let's see what Christ stated about turning from sin:

Go and sin NO MORE! That's what Christ said to the woman caught in adultery. As clear as day, we are to turn from sin and walk as Christ did. Much easier said than done because of the gift that our father Adam gave us lol

So again, I want to share my journey alone and how my walk is going......Keeping in mind that I have stumbled so much in my life. Literally, a born sinner. And every day as much as I think I have mastered this sanctification thing, along comes Jon and stumbles.

Thankfully, I'm a new creature in Christ. And every time I fall, I ask for repentance, I pray and get up again to continue the walk. I truly believe this is the lifelong journey of sanctification that the bible talks about. Knowing, that sins hurt out Savior. And if we love Him, we keep His commandments and turn from sin. Victory over sin is possible, I truly believe that but it's a journey of a lifetime lol

And no, we aren't saved by our 'works', Christ is our righteousness. But like I just mentioned, if we love Him, we never want to hurt Him over and over again like described in the book of Hebrews.

I know this will require me to spend a lot more time with God, in prayer and in His word. If we do that, I'm pretty sure sin will be a thing of the past in our lives.
