I appreciate God for making me see the seventh day in October; I say may his name be praised in Jesus' name, amen.
Today, I am writing on the topic of Thanksgiving. Today is a day of thanksgiving because if it wasn't for the lord, who stood by our sides, it would have been worse.
Thanksgiving is very important. We must always thank God for making us see this new month. To me, it's a fatherly blessing.
He's been a good, and caring father since we were born. He never sleeps, he's always available each time we call on him.
I was so excited this morning when I woke up. I proclaimed my love for him because I'd tasted his power.
I always show gratitude to him because each time I recall an incident that occurred a few years ago and how God saved my life from a notorious killer, I'm always grateful.
It's quite unbelievable that two of my friends died without my knowledge. When I arrived at the village, I asked about both of them.
I was told that one of them, whose name was Celestine, complained of stomach pain. According to the person who narrated the incident to me, he said they spent so much money just to make sure he was okay, but he still died when no one expected.
Then, I was also told that the other one, whose name was Boniface, also died. And I was forced to ask, what could have led to his sudden demise. I was told he was sick, but his sickness came in different ways.
It started with swelling of the face, then it entered the nose and mouth before he died. I was told his nose cut by itself, and it was difficult for him to breathe. Seconded, by his eyes. He couldn't see anything, neither was he able to eat.
One of my friends, who was present when both of them were sick, said it wasn't easy at all. I felt so empty and lonely when I noticed I couldn't see or touch them anymore.
Up till today, I cannot delete their pictures from my phone. They created so much impact while they were on Earth. I still can't believe they're no more.
Why am I saying this? I am saying it so that you will know that you owe him a lot. We cannot give an account of all the good things he had done for us.
You wished your friends and family members a Happy New Year at the beginning of this year, and likewise, others. But why are you still breathing while others have started their journey to the land of death?
They have been snatched away by the cold hands of death, but here you are. Isn't it enough reason to show you how valuable you are to God, and how important your services are to him?
Maybe you forgot to thank him earlier this morning, but you can do that even now. Those, who are in the mortuary, can no longer thank him, but, we're the ones to do that.
