I was scrolling through facebook some months back when I started following a fantasy series. The stories became so captivating I had to download the app. That was how I became addicted to fantasy stories. I finished 25,000 episodes of a story in three months. Since then I have made my partner interested in the stories, made my sister interested, made my friend addicted and introduced it to everyone around me. Although I like good stories, everyone around me knows I can not read more than 500 words or a story. I remember writing about my reading challenge some time ago, but when it comes to listening, I never knew I had this much patience to follow through a 25,000 episode story.

I started by listening to a story titled The Vampire system, Oh yeah those are the kind of fictions I love, and believe me it’s as good as watching the movie play out. It’s even better because you get to watch it in your imagination as it plays and even dream about it after you have dosed off. For me, it has become the perfect cool off strategy. When I’m feeling overwhelmed or exhausted, I just listen to one of my stories and before you know it, I begin to fantasize about the story while physically becoming relaxed.
It’s fair to say this has become my guilty pleasure, and I have undoubtedly fallen in love with the stories I listen to. But it comes with its downsides though, nowadays I have to plan myself before venturing into something that will make me not have time for other things. When I start listening to my stories, I feel like every other thing should stop and wait for me. They do stop though, but I don’t like that my pleasure has to inconvenience other things I do, so I have to get my act together. But still, it’s now my new favorite thing.
