I write this post remembering the legendary song forever young by Alphaville. One thing I've come to understand about life is that it's full of ups and downs, the downs usually seem to be a lot more than the ups but then it makes the memories of our ups more tangible especially when we remember and see how far we have gone. There's an old Proverb by Elbert Hubbard that says when life gives you lemons, make lemonade which simply means life would definitely give us a lot of opportunities in the form of problems, but what we do with them matters a lot. I say problems are opportunities because I've seen and heard about the good people have done with the problems life gave them.

For example, the late actor Chadwick Boseman was told he had cancer in 2016. Instead of subbing and looking for a solution to what has no cure, he decided to spend what was left of his life in making a legendary movie that would see his name go down in history as a remarkable actor and make the world remember him for his work. Although he has left this world, his works still remain with us. And just like him, if I am to get to the end of my journey on this earth I want to do that being known for the lives I've changed. I want to leave my footprint in the lives of people I have raised. I have a passion to make the lives of the helpless better.
Right now I may have just moved from being 100% helpless to joining the league of those trying to survive. I wouldn't want to stay long in this league and I wish to join the league of those who are striving so I can reach out to those who are helpless and help them strive too. But then I would also want to move from that league to the league of those who have attained a level of success so I can help the helpless survive and make it easier for survivors to strive and I'm certain in no time they too will become successful. The idea is to be in the success stories of people. If in the next 30 years I can do this continually… I would be in the success stories of billionaires and successful corporations who would always remember my impact. I don't really care about how long I live, I care more about the ways I can help with the time I have to live.
