I have always believed knowledge is everlasting, that is why I would prefer acquiring it because the truth is that it is one of the easiest yet hardest to acquire. Acquiring knowledge takes a great deal of strength and discipline and this is not something everyone can do. This is why I believe that one must show themselves worthy to receive this gift through passion and discipline before I can decide to give it out. One gift I know that has the potential to do good especially in this era is the gift of knowledge and if I ever have the opportunity to share it with someone, I would do it as a gift for the holidays but with certain creterias in place.

The skill I practice now was given to me for free, knowing how expensive learning it was then, I was lucky someone decided to teach me either way. But it was all because I had to develop passion, discipline and consistency. I believe gifts should be given based on merits and if this does not mean someone has to do something to just deserve it, but that the person given would be able to make good use of the gift given. This is why one would give a toy car to a child, because that is what would be more useful to the child and what the child would truly appreciate.

If I have the opportunity to give a gift, I would be happy to make the knowledge of my skill a foundation for someone to grow in. Imagine I started from the things I know now, my 8 years of experience would have produced way more that what I have achieved and that is the good my skill would be for whoever knows it. They would be able to begin from what I know now, and if put to good use, would open more opportunities in the future for them.
