If there is one thing I have come to understand in this world, it is that no one cares if you are good and no one cares if you are bad. No one cares if you have a good heart and no one cares if you have a wicked heart. The only thing people really care about is how your actions affect them. If it doesn’t affect them in any way they do not care and this is very okay because it is just human nature. The only person who is very interested in your growth is you, every other person who seems to care only does so because they are involved in it somehow.

For example, your parents care because you are their child, if you weren’t their child they would not even blink an eyelid. Your spouse cares because your growth affects them first before others. Your friends have a mutual benefit with you and care because of that. At the end of the day, it is very rare to find someone who just cares not because they need to, but because they are just that good. I won’t say I am such a person because a lot of the time I do not care about what people say or think.
People only care about you to the degree you can be of value to them. This is why even the family of a mad person would lock and tie them up giving them just the bare minimum because at that point they have stopped becoming of value. At the end of the day, even if you die, people will just move on and continue with life because that is just the way this world was built. It is the cruelty of life and the only way to cause a change is by learning to care. But then it’s difficult because sometimes not caring is a way of protecting ones self and caring requires one to be selfless.
