The honest truth about life is that the world we live in is a world full of errors, uncertainty and a whole bunch of hypocrites. There are parts of the world even in Nigeria where people are arrested for littering the environment, yet our entire solar system is dying from environmental poisoning which makes me ask where the poison is coming from and why can we not hold those poisoning our environment accountable. When you litter places like the Government residential areas in Nigeria you could serve time in prison because according to them you are disturbing the peace of the environment. Meanwhile what we do not know is that a lot of people are doing even worse, and by a lot of people I mean the people who live in those areas. They claim to keep their own environment clean while doing even more damage to the solar system at large.

A lot of the people living in Government residential areas either hold positions in government or own multinational companies whose products directly affect the nations or world economy. The factories that produce plastic where do you think they throw their waste? Even then, the government that claims to collect waste, where do you think they throw them? If you have ever travelled by water you would realize that there are a lot of places there where you could literally see waste flowing and the water contaminated. Do you think such levels of waste are household related? Where do you think refinery waste goes? Note that not all waste can be recycled so where do those wastes go to. These are questions that nobody is answering and the reason is simple, the answers to these questions are not sweet and are thus buried under layers of lies. No one wants to admit that they do not know what to do with certain wastes and even when they know they do not want to take the stress of doing those things so they opt for the easiest option which is dumping the waste somewhere.
Biodegradable waste is not killing our environment the way industrial waste kills the environment. Even a corpse, although with a very unpleasant odor, can serve as manure to the soil, but waste from chemicals can not do the same thing. Some should not even be allowed to touch the ground because they will just kill our vegetation. But yet some of these wastes are thrown into the sea and have even made certain of our wildlife go into extinction because their biological composition can not handle the backlash from those wastes. This is why I believe the government should come out and do the right thing for once by holding the people responsible for waste management, hold themselves responsible and also hold the companies involved responsible before they look into the little issues of the citizens. If this is done even citizens will know that there are certain things they should not do because it is not just polluting the environment but also polluting the ecosystem in general.
