I have travelled a good number of times, I have travelled by road, and and water and if I should recommend I would recommend you stay in your house lol. Mind you I have always been someone who loves adventure a lot, but then I only prefer being at the place, if there is a way I could just teleport there, I would even prefer it the most. I have had bad experiences with the three modes of transportation I mentioned above, and because of that I am very careful travelling. Whenever I get to travel, I try to forget the fact that I will be on a journey and just focus my mind on the destination.
But then again there is one transport mode I am yet to try, and that is transportation by train. There are trains in my country, but I guess I have not just had a reason to travel using that means of transportation and if I must be honest with myself, that mode of transportation might just be the one for me. I easily get bored in cars, even when driving myself. This is why I do not like taking long journeys with cars. I would always prefer to fly if I can afford it. I think the deal breaker for me is distance and even though airplanes can substitute for that, I have had three bad experiences with flying that still gives me the chills.
When I think about it even deeper, I do not like tight spaces, especially when I have to be in them for a long time. Ships can substitute for this, but the idea of seeing only water for a very long time does not sit well with me. This is why I think trains would be very good for me, although I have never tried it, I still think with the space and flexibility it provides would be something I can really work with especially because I hate sitting for long. I mean I can’t just stand up in a car or an airplane, I can do that in a ship but then all I would be seeing is water. But on the train, I think it will be different. But then again, I won’t know until I really try it out.
