It is one thing to have an opinion about something or someone and voice it out without fear and it is another thing publicly defame, disgrace and with words war against something, someone or some organization not just because you have an opinion about them, but because you hate them so much that you have an agenda against them. This is what we call hate speech and you can not say it hurts nobody because the fact is when these kinds of views are erred people do get hurt. This time it isn’t just words, there is an intent behind those words and that intent is what makes the words dangerous. People can be very cunning and behave very cowardly. They speak against people not to view their opinions but to instigate some kind of reaction with an intent to it and when you try to hold them accountable for their words they begin to give all sorts of excuses and defenses about their right to speech and how they meant no harm and were just voicing their opinions.

Hate speech is an expression that tends to demand, dehumanize, attack or demean a person for one reason or the other. It always encourages hostility against the target with the intent to make them feel pain that is not physical and that should not be taken lightly. It’s one thing to say “I do not like this person or this organization because they did this or because of that” (whatsoever they did), it is another thing to say “this person is beneath me, they have no right to walk on the same ground as me”. Yeah it looks like it is just words, but the intent is different. The intent is to make them feel they are not human enough and no human is supposed to feel that way because someone somewhere thinks they are better than everyone else and for that reason can say or do whatever they wish to them. Note that these will be the same people who will see some other persons and worship the very ground they walk on to to get in their good graces, but they feel others are less humans which make them monsters.
In my opinion, people who go about doing these kinds of things deserve to be held accountable for their actions. The world needs to be protected from them. Hate speeches are the reason we fight to end racism and nepotism, because it makes the targets or victims feel like they are less human than every other person. Imagine coming against a person like that because of their religion. It is one thing to say I personally do not like your religion (freedom of opinion) It is another thing to say, you and your so-called fanatics are devils. One is an opinion, the other was meant to instigate fear, cause harm and trouble. They are different and should not be viewed in the same sentence. This should not even be argued because the latter clearly wants something out of it.
