If I am to be honest working from home is beginning to sound more like an unreachable dream as the day goes by, it’s hard to find work from home jobs and it seems there are even more physical jobs than there are work from home jobs. This realization has led many to settle for whatever they can find, and it has even made a lot of people feel learning online skills is useless because after learning it, you discover that there are really no jobs that allows one to fully showcase these skills. Being a freelancer in this day and age is very risky, it’s as though there are no longer jobs in circulation or at least those willing to pay well, not forgetting the fact that AI has fully taken over a lot of jobs and employers will prefer to use AI instead of hiring someone who they would have to pay and manage. The labour market is becoming more and more saturated by the day and truthfully, there is nothing anyone can do about it.

Recently the realization of AI agents is coming into play and very soon it will also become over-saturated and if I should be honest with myself having an offline job that pays the bills seems like the best alternative, but then again if you are looking for financial freedom you know you have to do more. This is why I would always advise that the best way to make it in this oversaturated space, is to stop being a freelancer and start being a business. It’s really frustrating that with every skill a person has learned it is hard to get a job, but then I have noticed that it is easier to get a job as a business than as a person. This is something a lot of people do not talk about, the ability to package your skills and make yourself look professional. The fact is that if you are looking for someone to hire you, you might wait a really long while, but if you are looking for people to do business with you, it's easier. Recently I have been getting jobs not as an individual but through businesses I have worked with and it has helped double in on my skills navigating both online and offline jobs.
Also, I have realized it does not take much to make yourself appear as a brand instead of an individual, It is just a matter of how you sell yourself. The only issue is that a lot of work from home people do not have the time or are too lazy to creatively build a brand around themselves. I have also realized that most of the people that require our skillset are not always online, they are mostly offline and would rather locate a business that does the job than find a person that does the job. This is where it becomes hard, because not everyone likes marketing, but the fact is if you must really survive in this age instead of just being dependent, you must learn how to market yourself. From the few things I have learned marketing does not have to be uncomfortable if you can learn what works for you, plus after your first gig, and the next three gigs, you would have probably figured it out.
