Today, I chose one of the greats, the legend of Reggaeton, and another of my many favorite artists. I've followed Daddy Yankee since his beginnings and have seen his evolution over the years, but also how he continues to maintain his unique and inimitable style.
Para hoy eleg铆 a uno de los grandes, la leyenda del Reggaeton, y otro de mis tantos artistas favoritos. He seguido los pasos de Daddy Yankee desde sus inicios y he visto su evoluci贸n con el paso de los a帽os, pero tambi茅n c贸mo sigue manteniendo su estilo 煤nico e inigualable.
One of his most famous songs, the one that launched him to stardom, was the highly acclaimed Gasolina. A popular song that broke records on radio and YouTube at the time, as well as on music channels, but the first song I chose came out much later; it's called Pose.
Una de sus canciones m谩s famosas y que lo lanz贸 al estrellato fue la tan aclamada Gasolina. Una canci贸n popular que bati贸 records en las radios y en Youtube en aquel entonces as铆 como en los canales musicales, pero la primera canci贸n que eleg铆 sali贸 mucho despu茅s de ella, se llama Pose.
Another characteristic of Daddy Yankee is that in each video he releases, he allows diverse young talent to participate with dance choreography that adds an extra and entertaining touch to each song. This means he lets others take center stage in his songs, focusing solely on showcasing his musical talent. As for the next song I've chosen, it features the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra and is dedicated to people battling cancer. I really like the lyrics and the rhythm.
Otro aspecto que caracteriza a Daddy Yankee es que en cada video que saca le permite al talento juvenil y diversificado participar con coreograf铆as de baile que le agregan un toque extra y entretenido a cada canci贸n, lo que significa que 茅l deja que los dem谩s tengan protagonismo en sus canciones y 茅l s贸lo se preocupa por mostrar su talento musical. En cuanto a la siguiente canci贸n que elijo es una en la que participa la Orquesta Sinf贸nica de Puerto Rico y que est谩 dedicada a las personas que luchan contra el c谩ncer. Me gusta mucho la letra de la canci贸n y el ritmo.
Lastly, a song that never goes out of style. Featuring the great, the Last but not least, one of this artist's most recent hits is a collaboration with BZRP, a track that many of his fans had been requesting for some time. I also liked this song for its lyrics and rhythm; it blends a bit of merengue, the urban style of reggaeton, and electronic touches. It's really good; I like it a lot and have been listening to it since it came out.
Por 煤ltimo pero no menos importante, uno de los m谩s recientes 茅xitos de este artista de la mano de BZRP, colaboraci贸n que desde hace alg煤n tiempo estaba siendo pedida por varios de sus fans. Esta canci贸n me gust贸 tambi茅n por su letra y por su ritmo, mezcla un poco de merengue, el estilo urbano del reggaeton y tambi茅n toques electr贸nicos. Muy buena, me gusta bastante y la escucho desde que sali贸.
