Another sunset shot by the lake in Torgau — a place where every sunset looks different depending on the year, season but of course always beautiful! Sometimes you can see a really show on the sky there like it was this time. 🌅There was something calming in how the trees mirror the sky, how the silence wraps around you like a warm blanket — even in April, when I captured this shot.
And that’s exactly why I love spending my truck pauses here. Even though the parking lot doesn't offer much comfort for truck drivers like me. (no toilet on the parking lot, the nearest toilet is 700 meters away, which actually isn’t even that bad because I've had times when I had to walk 1.5 kilometers one way😀)
Although this photo was taken a few months ago, today felt like the perfect day to share it. It reminds me how many quiet, stunning moments this year has brought — even during chaotic weeks on the road.
So wherever you are today, whether celebrating big or just soaking in the stillness .... I hope the new year brings you many more sunsets like this one. Peaceful, golden and full of hope. ✨
