When I saw this prompt, I ask myself honestly what made me who I am today, I think very well because a lot of things have happened, then I realize that I am not someone who has everything figured out. I am already something, already someone, but I am still working on myself to become the best version of who I can be. Life has taught me that becoming who you want to be is not something that happens overnight. It is a journey filled with experiences, struggles, sacrifices, mistakes, disappointments, and lessons.

One of the biggest influences on the person I am today was my grandmother. I lived with my grandma for most of my years, and she was an important part of my life. She gave me a sense of home, security, and belonging. Having her around made life feel different. But when she passed away, everything changed. I suddenly had to learn how to fend for myself and take responsibility for my own needs. Losing her was not only the loss of a loved one, it was also the beginning of a completely different chapter of my life.
Life became a struggle because I never had to do anything when she was alive. There were times when making ends meet was difficult, and I had to make sacrifices just to get through the day. I learned how to survive even when things were not going the way I wanted. I learned to be strong because I had no choice but to keep moving forward.
During those difficult times, I also discovered something about myself. I realized that I have a big heart and that I am willing to sacrifice a lot for the people I care about. I would put other people's needs before my own, sometimes giving everything I had just to make sure someone else was okay. At the time, I thought that was what love, kindness, and loyalty were supposed to look like.
But life taught me a painful lesson, do not sacrifice everything you have and forget yourself in the process.
There is nothing wrong with helping people or being there for others, but I have learned that I cannot destroy myself trying to save everyone else. When you give everything you have and eventually find yourself at rock bottom, the people you sacrificed everything for may not always be there to lift you back up. Sometimes, they can even be the same people who remind you of everything you did for them and use your lowest moments against you.
That experience changed the way I see myself and the world. I am learning that putting myself first sometimes does not make me selfish. Taking care of myself does not mean I care less about others. It means I understand that I also deserve care, peace, happiness, and a chance to build my own life.
Today, I am still learning, I am still struggling with so many things, still making mistakes, and still trying to become better. But I am proud of the person I am becoming. My grandmother's memory, the struggles I have faced, and the sacrifices I have made have all played a part in shaping me.
I cannot change everything that happened to me, but I can choose what I take from those experiences. I choose to take the strength, the wisdom, and the lessons. Most importantly, I choose not to lose myself while trying to be there for everyone else. I am already someone. I am simply still becoming.
Thanks for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day
