Seriously, I’m always me whether someone is watching me or I’m completely alone, I don’t really know how to pretend to be someone I’m not. I have never been the type of person who changes personality just because people are around. I’m not living my life to impress anybody, and I don’t think I should have to.

When I saw this topic, “The person you become when nobody is watching,” it actually made me think for a while. Who am I when nobody is watching? Honestly, I’m still me. Maybe a quieter version of me, maybe a less careful version of me, but still the same person.
I believe there is a lot of pressure these days to look a certain way in front of people. We want people to see us as successful, kind, intelligent, hardworking, or even perfect. Sometimes, we only show the parts of ourselves that we think people will like. Social media has made this even more obvious, people can carefully choose what they post, what pictures they share, and what parts of their lives they want others to see.
But life is not social media, when nobody is watching, there is no need to maintain an image. You can just be yourself. You can sit quietly, laugh at something silly, make mistakes, change your mind, or simply do nothing. For me, those moments are not about becoming a different person. They are about being comfortable enough to be myself without worrying about people's opinions.
I’m not saying I’m perfect. Far from it.
There are things I do that I’m not proud of. Sometimes I procrastinate when I know I should be doing something important, there are times I get annoyed over things that probably aren't worth getting annoyed about. Sometimes I make the wrong decision and only realise it afterwards. I have my flaws just like everyone else.
But I don’t think being a good person means pretending that you have no flaws. To me, it means being honest enough to admit them and trying to become better.
If my private actions were suddenly displayed publicly, would I be proud of everything? Probably not.
There are definitely things I would rather keep private, not because I am secretly a completely different person, but because everyone deserves some privacy. We all have embarrassing moments, bad days, personal struggles, and decisions we wish we could redo.
What matters to me is that I’m not living a double life. I don't want to be one person in front of people and a completely different person when they turn their backs. I want my values to remain my values, whether somebody is watching or not.
The thing is I’m not trying to win an award for being the perfect person. I’m simply trying to live my life honestly, learn from my mistakes, treat people well, and become someone I can respect when I look at myself.
So, who am I when nobody is watching? Seriously, I’m still me. And I think there is something beautiful about being comfortable enough with yourself that you don't have to perform for an audience.
I’m not living my life to impress anybody. I’m living it to be myself.
Thanks for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day
