No matter how many goals others score or how many records get broken, for me it’s always been the same, Cristiano Ronaldo is my favourite player.
I know the whole Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi debate never really ends, and honestly I get why people love Messi too. He is insanely talented. But if I’m speaking personally, I’ve always leaned toward Ronaldo.
There is just something about his mindset that sticks with me. He never looks satisfied, even when he is already achieved more than most players could ever dream of, he still plays like he is chasing something. That kind of attitude is rare.
I also respect how his journey wasn’t just smooth or easy. He had to work for everything. Nothing about his career feels accidental. From his early days to his time at Manchester United, then Real Madrid, Juventus, and beyond, he kept adapting and proving people wrong again and again.
For me, it’s not only about goals or stats. Of course he scores a lot, that is obvious. But what makes him my favourite is the way he pushes himself. The discipline, the training, the focus… it all feels very intentional. Like he decided a long time ago that average was never going to be an option.
Even outside football, you can see how serious he is about his routine and career. Whether people agree with him or not, you can’t really ignore the effort he puts in. That is something I respect a lot.
I know some people will always prefer Messi, and that is fine. Football is better because both exist. But for me personally, I’ve just always connected more with Ronaldo’s way of doing things.
So yeah, no complicated arguments from my side. He is simply my favourite player, and that is not something that changes.
