The Moment I Think I Will Miss

Sometimes, after a really long day, I just want to get into bed and forget about everything. The house may not be perfectly clean. There might still dirty dishes in the kitchen, clothes waiting to be folded, toys lying around, and a few things on my to-do list that I never got around to doing. And honestly, I think that is okay.

There are nights when I feel like I spent the whole day doing things but somehow still didn’t do enough. Motherhood can be like that. You cook, clean, answer questions, solve little problems, repeat yourself a hundred times, and somehow another mess appears five minutes after you have cleaned one.

By the end of the day, I can be completely worn out. But then seeing my children sleep soundly With zero worries makes the tiredness vanished. Looking at their little faces resting peacefully, and something in me slows down. I don’t think about the laundry anymore. I stop worrying about the dishes. For those few minutes, none of those things seem important. I just watch my child sleep.

Sometimes I find myself smiling for no particular reason. I might gently pull the blanket up or just stand there for a little while, listening to that quiet breathing. And I said to myself, Wow, his is my life. Not a perfect life. Not a life without stress or tired days or moments when I lose my patience. Just my life and I am grateful for it.

We spend so much of our time worrying about things that can wait. We worry about having a spotless home, getting everything finished, replying to every message, keeping up with everyone else, and somehow being everything to everybody. But our children won't remember whether the house was always clean.

They won't remember how many loads of laundry we managed to finish. They will remember how we made them feel. They will remember being hugged, being comforted, being listened to, being tucked into bed. Knowing that there was someone who loved them, even on the days when things weren't going well.

Looking at my children sleeping peacefully is a reminder that I already have something money can't buy and something no amount of success can replace.Tomorrow, the mess will still be there, the laundry will still need attention. There will probably be another busy day waiting for me.

A quiet room at the end of a noisy day. These moments don't look extraordinary from the outside, but to a parent, they can mean everything.

So before I worry about what might happen tomorrow, I'm going to take a moment to be thankful for today. Because one day, these ordinary nights will become memories and I have a feeling I will miss them more than I can imagine.

Thanks for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day
