Someone recently asked me why women become so emotional during pregnancy, and honestly, I wish I had a perfect answer. The truth is, sometimes, I don't even understand my own emotions.Image from thread

Pregnancy has a way of making you experience feelings you cannot always explain. One minute, you are perfectly fine, going about your day, smiling and feeling at peace with everything. Then, suddenly, the smallest thing can bring tears to your eyes. Sometimes, you find yourself crying over something that would ordinarily not bother you, and the most confusing part is that you may not even know exactly why you are crying.

There are moments when I sit quietly, with tears running down my face, asking myself, "Why am I crying? What exactly is wrong? Why do I suddenly feel this way?" And sometimes, I genuinely have no answer.

I think one of the things people don't talk about enough is the emotional side of pregnancy. Everyone talks about the growing belly, the baby's movements, food cravings, morning sickness, and the excitement of welcoming a new life. But beyond all of that, there is an emotional journey that can be difficult to put into words.

Your body is changing in ways you have never experienced before. Your hormones are fluctuating, your mind is processing so many things, and your heart is gradually adjusting to the reality of becoming a mother. There are moments of excitement, moments of anxiety, moments of gratitude, and sometimes, moments of sadness that you cannot even explain.

Sometimes, you are not necessarily unhappy. You are not angry with anyone, and nobody has done anything wrong. You just feel overwhelmed, you may need reassurance without knowing how to ask for it. You may want someone to understand you without having to explain every little thing. Sometimes, all you need is a little tenderness, patience, and the comfort of knowing that someone understands what you are going through.

And perhaps that is what makes pregnancy such a unique experience. You are nurturing a life while simultaneously navigating so many changes within yourself. You are learning to understand a new version of your body, your emotions, and even your identity.

Seriously, pregnancy requires more than physical strength. It requires emotional support, understanding, and compassion. Sometimes, a pregnant woman doesn't need to be told that she is overreacting or being too sensitive. She simply needs to be heard, loved, and reminded that she doesn't have to explain every emotion she experiences.

So, if you have a pregnant woman around you, please be gentle with her. Check on her, listen to her, show her affection, and be patient with her. You may not always understand what she is feeling, but you can still make her feel supported.

And to every woman experiencing this journey, remember that you are allowed to have difficult days. You can be grateful for your pregnancy and still feel overwhelmed by it. You can be happy about becoming a mother and still have moments when you struggle emotionally. Both feelings can exist at the same time.

Sometimes, pregnancy makes you cry, not because something is wrong, but because you are experiencing so many changes that even you are still learning how to understand. And that, too, deserves patience and kindness.

Thanks for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day
