There are many Korean dramas that are mainly focused on romance, but It’s Okay, That’s Love is a little different, even though it is not a new drama, but still the message was well delivered. It is not just a love story between two people, It also talks about things that many people experience in real life, such as loneliness, emotional pain, family problems, and mental health. While watching the drama, there were several moments that made me stop and think about how we treat ourselves and the people around us.

The drama tells the story of Jang Jae-yeol, a popular writer and radio DJ, and Ji Hae-soo, a psychiatrist. When they first meet, they don't exactly get along. They have different personalities and sometimes annoy each other. However, as they spend more time together, they slowly become closer and eventually fall in love.

One thing I really learned from this drama is that we cannot always tell what someone is going through just by looking at them. Jae-yeol looks confident and successful, from the outside, it seems like he has everything together. But as the story continues, we discover that he is dealing with serious problems that other people cannot easily see.

This made me think about real life. Sometimes we see someone smiling, going to work, talking to people, or posting happy things online, and we assume everything is fine. But we don't really know what is happening inside that person. Because of this, I learned that it is better to be kind and understanding instead of quickly judging someone.

Another thing I learned from the drama is that having a mental health problem does not make someone weak or less important. The drama does a good job of showing that mental health should be taken seriously. People can have emotional problems just like they can have physical health problems. They may need help, support, and sometimes professional treatment. There is nothing shameful about that.
I also liked the way the relationship between Jae-yeol and Hae-soo developed. Their love was not perfect, they had disagreements, misunderstandings, and difficult moments. But they slowly learned to understand each other. This reminded me that love is not just about going on dates, saying sweet words, or having romantic moments. Sometimes love means being patient with someone when they are going through a difficult period.
The drama also taught me something about accepting people. We all have things about ourselves that we may not like or that we are afraid to share with others. However, having weaknesses does not mean that we don't deserve love or happiness. Sometimes, the people who truly care about us can help us see ourselves differently.
One of the biggest lessons I took from It’s Okay, That’s Love is that we should not be too hard on ourselves. Life can be difficult, and everyone has their own problems. We don't always have to pretend that we are strong or that everything is okay. Sometimes, admitting that we are struggling can actually be the beginning of healing.
I enjoyed It’s Okay, That’s Love because it gave me something to think about beyond the romance. It showed me the importance of kindness, communication, understanding, and taking care of our mental health. Most importantly, it reminded me that we never really know what another person is carrying inside. So, instead of judging people quickly, I think it is better to show a little more patience and kindness. Sometimes, that small kindness may mean more to someone than we realize.
