If I woke up tomorrow and found out I had won $1 million, I honestly think my first reaction would be shock. Like, the kind where you keep checking the message, refreshing the account balance over and over just to be sure it’s real. Because It’s not something I ever really expect to happen in real life, so I imagine it would take a while to even process it properly.

After the excitement settles a bit, I don’t think I would rush into spending anything. Money like that can disappear quickly if there is no plan available. So I would probably just sit with it for a while and think carefully about what actually matters most to me.
One thing I already know for sure is that my mom would come first. I didn’t come from a wealthy family, and she has had it hard, she have to work really hard for most of her life just to keep things going. She’s sacrificed a lot without ever complaining, and if I ever had the chance to change her life in a meaningful way, I wouldn’t hesitate. Making sure she is comfortable, stress-free, and able to enjoy life properly would be my biggest priority.
After that, I would start thinking about the future I’ve been dreaming about for a while now. I’ve always wanted to get into poultry farming and eventually build a frozen food business around it. It’s something I’ve thought about seriously, not just as an idea, but as a real direction I want to take in life. Having access to that kind of money would make it possible to actually start properly instead of just planning and postponing. I could invest in land, equipment, proper storage, and everything needed to build something sustainable.
At the same time, I would still be careful not to spend everything on one thing. I would set aside a good portion for savings and investments because financial stability is important to me. I don’t just want money for today, I want something that helps me keep growing and reach long-term financial goals. Having that kind of security would also take a lot of pressure off and give me room to take smarter risks.
I would also allow myself to enjoy a little part of it. Maybe travel a bit, experience new places, and just breathe for once without constantly worrying about expenses. But even that would be done in moderation, not extravagance.
But I will never forget to give back in small ways where I can. I know what it feels like to struggle, so even helping a few people or supporting something meaningful would matter to me. Winning $1 million wouldn’t just be about having money. For me, it would be about finally having the opportunity to take care of my mom, build the business I’ve been dreaming of, and create a future that feels stable instead of uncertain.
