My First Gold Foil Legendary Card! + My Road to 100K SPS Staked + 26 Rebellion Packs Opened + My Last Rebellion Card Upgrades
I discovered Splinterlands a short time after I discovered Hive.
In fact, I signed up on Hive on March 5, 2019, and after a few months, in September 2019, I signed up on Splinterlands.
Of all the blockchain-based games I have tried to date Splinterlands was and still is the most complete, fun and well-structured game I have played.
From September 2019 to now I have always enjoyed playing Splinterlands and have always played manually without ever using bots.
To date I have played 25555 battles in the Wild Format and 4891 battles in the Modern Format for a total of 30446 battles played.
Although I have been playing on Splinterlands for a long time I have never lost the desire to set growth goals and even today I have several growth goals that I would like to achieve on Splinterlands.
Right now I have two main goals that I would like to achieve as soon as possible:
- accumulate 100K SPS staked
- return to playing stably in the Gold+ leagues of Modern Format.
My two goals are closely related because winning game battles in the Gold+ leagues allows you to earn many more SPS tokens than winning battles in the Silver leagues where I currently play.
In fact as you can see from the useful information in the Reward Pool Statistics section of Splex.gg there is quite a difference between playing and winning battles in the Modern Format's Gold+ leagues compared to the Bronze and Silver leagues of the same Format.
For example winning a battle in the Silver III league of the Modern Format allows you to earn an average of 0.168 SPS per win while winning a battle in the Gold III league of the Modern Format allows you to earn an average of 0.980 SPS per win

My road to 100K SPS Staked continues and I am making progress every month even though the introduction of the new Rebellion set has slowed down my progress towards my goal because without being able to use my Untamed cards in the modern format I have gone from playing stably in Gold+ leagues to playing in Silver leagues.
Today January 12, 2024 I have accumulated 79140 SPS staked and have almost reached 80% of my accumulation goal.
When I have reached 100K SPS staked I will consider whether to set a higher goal (the most likely choice) and/or use some of the SPS in excess of my accumulation goal to purchase useful cards in battle with the goal of advancing to higher leagues to earn more SPS tokens from battle victories.
Regarding my game goal of returning to play in the Modern Format's Gold+ leagues without receding to the Silver leagues in the early part of the season, I am still far from my goal because when there are less than 3 days left until the end of the current season of Splinterlands I am in the Silver I league at 270 points rating from the Gold III league.
To achieve my game goal I needed to increase the battle strength of my card collection by adding useful cards in battle of the Rebellion set.
In order to build me a competitive Rebellion deck for Modern Format's Gold leagues, I chose to follow a strategy based mainly on buying and opening Rebellion packs and selling Rebellion set cards that I find in the packs and that do not fit my short-term goals.
So far, this strategy has given me good results but starting tomorrow I will change my strategy and switch from buying packs to using the Bid purchase offers to buy Rebellion cards that are among my priority purchase/upgrade goals.
Today I made my last Rebellion packs purchase and will only return to buy more Rebellion packs only if the estimated value of a Rebellion pack will be at least $0.5 higher than the purchase cost as was the case on January 1, 2024, for example.
Today I purchased 26 Rebellion packs on Hive Engine.
For this purchase I made the following steps:

I transferred 105K DEC from my in-game wallet to my Hive Engine wallet.

then I used the SWAPS feature of Hive Keychain to convert 105K DEC to 288.38 SWAP.HIVE

then I purchased 26 REBELLION tokens on Hive Engine and spent 285.47 SWAP.HIVE = $94.49

then I transferred the REBELLION tokens in game and opened 26 Rebellion packs.
In the following screenshots you can see the 130 Rebellion cards I found inside the 26 Rebellion packs I opened (Screenshots from my link opening).
I decide to open the 26 packs simultaneously and immediately find a wonderful surprise: my first Rebellion Gold Foil legendary card! Yeeeeeessssss!
I found Daarg Deadblast Gold Foil that has a market value = $200
In the next images you can see all the other cards I found today.
Today I was really lucky because to buy 26 Rebellion packs I spent 285.47 SWAP.HIVE = 94.49$ and found 130 cards that have an estimated total value = 298.08$

So I obtained an estimated profit = +203.59$.
In my collection I already have Daarg Deadblast level 2 which is one of the first cards in the Rebellion set that I upgraded.
If I want to get back to playing in Modern Format's Gold+ leagues quickly, I have to make sacrifices, and for that reason I have decided to put Daarg Deadblast Gold Foil up for sale immediately.
If I sell Daarg Deadblast I will immediately purchase 3 BCX of Mantaroth which is my main purchase target among the cards in the Rebellion set.
According to my strategy after opening Rebellion packs, I also put up for sale all the Rebellion cards I found in the packs I opened today that do not fit into my short-term purchase/upgrade plans.
To date I have purchased 416 Rebellion packs and spent a total of 4520.40 SWAP.HIVE = $1496.25.35
In 416 Rebellion packs opened I found 2080 cards.
I maintained 783 BCX in my collection.
I have sold 1111 BCX
I have 186 BCX for sale.
To jumpstart my strategy of buying Rebellion packs and selling Rebellion cards I only entered 334.90 SWAP.HIVE as external liquidity then I always used the DEC tokens I got from selling my Untamed and Rebellion cards to buy subsequent Rebellion packs .
Thanks to the cards I found today in the 26 packs I opened I was able to make upgrades of Rebellion cards that will be very useful to me in battle:

Anasth Soothsayer: level 2 -> level 3
My short-term upgrade goal for Anasth Soothsayer is level 4 but I am glad I reached level 3 and now I only need 9 more BCX because I have a total of 15 BCX.

Wailing Wraith: level 3 -> level 4
Thanks to this upgrade, my Wailing Wraith gains the Affliction ability and becomes a much more useful card in battle and one that I think I will use often in battles with low mana available and in combination with cards with the Protect and Repair abilities.

Avina of the Wolf: level 3 -> level 4
Thanks to this upgrade, I took another step toward my upgrade goal for my Avina of the Wolf, which is level 6.
I continue to set growth goals on Splinterlands, hope that bots will be eliminated completely from Splinterlands, continue to increase the battle strength of my usable card collection in Modern Format where there are no bots, and look forward with much excitement to the fully playable versions of Genesis League Soccer and Soulkeep that will expand the Splinterlands ecosystem

La mia prima carta leggendaria gold foil! + La mia strada verso i 100K SPS staked + 26 Pacchetti Ribellione aquistati e aperti
Ho scoperto Splinterlands poco dopo aver scoperto Hive.
Infatti mi sono iscritto su Hive il 5 marzo 2019 e dopo pochi mesi, nel settembre 2019 mi sono iscritto su Splinterlands.
Tra tutti i giochi basati su blockchain che ho provato fino ad oggi Splinterlands è stato ed è ancora oggi il gioco più completo, divertente e ben strutturato a cui ho giocato.
Dal settembre 2019 ad oggi mi sono sempre divertito a giocare su Splinterlands e ho giocato sempre manualmente senza mai usare bots.
Fino ad oggi ho giocato 25555 battaglie nel Wild Format e 4891 battaglie nel Modern Format per un totale di 30446 battaglie giocate.
Anche se gioco su Splinterlands da tanto tempo non ho mai perso la voglia di pormi obiettivi di crescita e anche oggi ho diversi obiettivi di crescita che vorrei raggiungere su Splinterlands.
In questo momento ho due obiettivi principali che vorrei raggiungere nel più breve tempo possibile:
- accumulare 100K SPS staked
- ritornare a giocare stabilmente nelle leghe Gold+ del Modern Format
I miei due obiettivi sono strettamente collegati tra di loro perchè vincere le battaglie di gioco nelle leghe Gold+ permette di guadagnare molti più token SPS rispetto alle vittorie in battaglia nelle leghe Silver dove attualmente gioco.
Infatti come puoi vedere dalle utili informazioni della sezione Reward Pool Statistics di Splex.gg c'è una bella differenza tra giocare e vincere le battaglie nelle leghe Gold+ del Modern Format rispetto alle leghe Bronze e Silver dello stesso Formato.
Ad esempio vincere una battaglia nella lega Silver III del Modern Format permette di guadagnare in media 0.168 SPS per vittoria mentre vincere una battaglia nella lega Gold III del Modern Format permette di guadagnare in media 0.980 SPS per vittoria

La mia strada verso i 100K SPS Staked continua e faccio progressi ogni mese anche se l'introduzione del nuovo set Rebellion ha rallentato la mia corsa verso il mio obiettivo perchè senza poter utilizzare le mie carte Untamed nel modern format sono passato dal giocare stabilmente nelle leghe Gold+ a giocare nelle leghe Silver.
Oggi 12 gennaio 2024 ho accumulato 79140 SPS staked e ho quasi raggiunto l'80% del mio obiettivo di accumulo.
Quando avrò raggiunto i 100K SPS staked valuterò se fissare un obiettivo più alto (la scelta più probabile) e/o se utilizzare parte degli SPS eccedenti il mio obiettivo di accumulo per acquistare carte utili in battaglia con l'obiettivo di avanzare nelle leghe più alte per guadagnare un maggior quantitativo di token SPS dalle vittorie in battaglia.
Per quanto riguarda il mio obiettivo di gioco e cioà tornare a giocare nelle leghe Gold+ del Modern Format senza retrocedere nelle leghe Silver nella parte iniziale della stagione sono ancora lontano dal mio obiettivo perchè quando mancano meno di 3 giorni alla fine della stagione in corso di Splinterlands sono nella lega Silver I a 270 punti di rating dalla lega Gold III.
Per raggiungere il mio obiettivo di gioco devo aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte aggiungendo carte utili in battaglia del set Rebellion.
Per costruirmi un deck Rebellion competitivo per le leghe Gold del Modern Format ho scelto di seguire una strategia basata principalmente sull'acquisto e apertura dei pacchi Rebellion e sulla vendita delle carte del set Rebellion che trovo nei pacchi e che non rientrano nei miei obiettivi di breve termine.
Fino ad oggi questa strategia mi ha dato dei buoni risultati ma da domani cambierò strategia e passerò dall'acquisto dei pacchi alla vendita delle carte dei set precedenti al set Rebellion e all'utilizzo delle offerte di acquisto Bid per acquistare le carte Rebellion che sono tra i miei obiettivi prioritari di acquisto/upgrade.
Oggi ho fatto l'ultimo acquisto di pacchi Rebellion e ritornerò a comprare altri pacchi Rebellion solo se il valore stimato di un pacco Rebellion sarà superiore di almeno 0.5$ rispetto al costo di acquisto come è avvenuto ad esempio il 1 gennaio 2024.
Oggi ho acquistato 26 Rebellion packs su Hive Engine.
Per questo acquisto ho effettuato i seguenti passi:

ho trasferito 105K DEC dal mio in-game wallet al mio Hive Engine wallet

poi ho utilizzato la funzionalità SWAPS di Hive Keychain per convertire 105K DEC in 288.38 SWAP.HIVE

poi ho acquistato 26 REBELLION tokens su Hive Engine e ho speso 285.47 SWAP.HIVE = 94.49$

poi ho trasferito i REBELLION tokens in game e ho aperto 26 Rebellion packs.

Decido di aprire i 26 pacchi contemporaneamente e trovo subito una bellissima sorpresa: la mia prima carta leggendaria Rebellion Gold Foil! Yeeeeeessssss!
Ho trovato Daarg Deadblast Gold Foil che ha un valore di mercato = 200$
Nelle immagini seguenti puoi vedere tutte le altre carte che ho trovato oggi.
Oggi sono stato davvero fortunato perchè per acquistare 26 Rebellion packs ho speso 285.47 SWAP.HIVE = 94.49$ e ho trovato 130 carte che hanno un valore totale stimato = 298.08$

Ho quindi ottenuto un profitto stimato = +203.59$.

In base alla mia strategia dopo aver aperto dei pacchi Rebellion ho messo in vendita anche tutte le carte Rebellion che ho trovato nei pacchi che ho aperto oggi e che non rientrano nei miei piani di acquisto/upgrade di breve termine.
Fino ad oggi ho acquistato 416 Rebellion packs e ho speso in totale 4520.40 SWAP.HIVE = 1496.25.35$
In 416 Rebellion packs aperti ho trovato 2080 carte.
Ho mantenuto nella mia collezione 783 BCX
Ho venduto 1111 BCX
Ho in vendita 186 BCX.
Per far partire la mia strategia di acquisto dei pacchi Rebellion e vendita delle carte Rebellion ho immesso solo 334.90 SWAP.HIVE come liquidità esterna poi ho sempre utilizzato i token DEC che ho ottenuto dalla vendita delle mie carte Untamed e Rebellion per acquistare i successivi Rebellion packs .
Grazie alle carte che ho trovato oggi nei 26 pacchi che ho aperto ho potuto effettuare degli upgrades di carte Rebellion che mi saranno molto utili in battaglia:

Anasth Soothsayer: livello 2 -> livello 3
Il mio obiettivo di upgrade di breve termine per Anasth Soothsayer è il livello 4 ma sono contento di aver raggiunto il livello 3 e adesso mi mancano solo altri 9 BCX perchè ho un totale di 15 BCX.

Wailing Wraith: livello 3 -> livello 4
Grazie a questo upgrade la mia Wailing Wraith acquisisce l'abilità Affliction e diventa una carta molto più utile in battaglia e che penso utilizzerò spesso nelle battaglie con pochi mana disponibili e in combinazione con carte con le abilità Protect e Repair.

Avina of the Wolf: livello 3 -> livello 4
Grazie a questo upgrade ho fatto un ulteriore passo in avanti verso il mio obiettivo di upgrade per la mia Avina of the Wolf che è il livello 6.
