SOULKEEP: My Tournaments Game Activity: My Results and Rewards
On June 25, 2024, the game Soulkeep was released.
Soulkeep is a tower defense game developed by Double Coconut but it is playable directly from the Splinterlands site by clicking on the S symbol in the top left menu and then clicking on PLAY NOW.
In the post I published yesterday, I shared an initial overview of this game, the opening of 100 NIGHTMARE packs and my initial impressions which were from the start positive because Soulkeep is a graphically beautiful game and it is also a very fun game.

Today I share my playing experience in the Tournaments game mode.
In fact, Soulkeep can be played in two game modes:
-
single player mode (you have to click on BATTLE in the main screen)
-
tournament mode (you have to click on TOURNAMENTS on the main screen)
In the BATTLE mode, I have completed all levels of League 1 but cannot yet advance to League 2 because I must first meet the entry requirements that you can see in the image below.
To increase the number of Souls to enter League 2 I have to eliminate other Fiends (the demons who want to destroy my gateways in the game) and to do that I have to play in the Tournaments mode which will most likely be the main game mode on Soulkeep.
To date I have participated in three tournaments.
In the first tournament I failed the first wave because my playing experience was minimal.
In the second tournament I achieved my first victory because I passed all the levels of the tournament.
Thanks to this victory, I placed myself at place number 77 in the daily leaderboard and received a reward of 17.82 SPS.
In the BATTLE mode it is possible to play completely for free.
To play in the Tournaments mode

you must have NFTs which you can purchase from the Market or you can find them in the Nightmare packs that can be purchased in the Market or on Hive Engine in the tokenized form (NIGHTMARE token)

you must have 1 tournament ticket
Every day each player receives 1 free ticket and then you can play once a day for free in the tournament mode.
The cost of tickets after the first one depends on the league of the tournament.
For League 1 tournaments the cost of 1 ticket is = 2 Credits or 2 DEC.
In today's post I share the game strategy I used in the currently ongoing tournament.
Today, June 27, 2024, tournament #15169 is underway, which will end in about 16 hours and 55 minutes and has a prize pool of 33321.6 SPS.
To play today's tournament I used my free ticket.
In the screenshot below you can see the Battle Rules.
On Soulkeep you have to destroy enemies (Fiends) before they arrive at your gateway and your weapons are Towers and Spells.
To play the tournament I chose to bring in as my possible choices:

3 Quad Killer Towers
-
3 Tarantula Loom
-
4 Knife Tosser
-
3 Jack's Joke Towers
-
5 Card Sharp
I also chose 4 NFTs of type Spells and of course brought in Celine, the Hero that I can place anywhere in the game.
In WAVE 1/8 I immediately used the Spell CHEAPO which allowed me to reduce the mana cost of the first Quad Killer from 150 mana to 105 mana.
Thanks to this spell I was able to place from the first wave two Quad Killer towers.
I won the first wave without difficulty and kept my 10 life points intact.
In WAVE 2/8 I added two towers: 1 Tarantula Loom and 1 Card Sharp
I also passed the second wave without difficulty and in WAVE 3/8 I added a third Quad Killer, increased the attack range of a Quad Killer and also placed Celine (I forgot to do that :)
In WAVE 4/8 I added 3 towers to also cover my other gateway because in this wave the fiends will try to attack both of my gateways.
In WAVE 5/8 I upgraded the attack range of another one of my Quad Killers and added a Jake's Joke tower.
In WAVE 6/8 I enhanced the attack range of my third Quad Killer and added another 4 towers.
In WAVE 6/8 I lost my first life point but my towers countered the enemy well.
In WAVE 7/8 I placed almost all the towers at my disposal and had only 1 Knife Tosser left to place.
I completed WAVE 7/8 but lost another life point
In WAVE 8/8 I placed all the towers at my disposal and made some upgrades on the towers. I also used Spell Gear Grease to increase the attack frequency of the Quad Killer near my top left gateway.
Unfortunately I don't pass WAVE 8/8 and my enemies get the better of me.
If I had passed WAVE 8/8 I could have continued playing because I would have received more bonus WAVEs to increase my score.
I have already identified mistakes I made in choosing tower upgrades and in choosing the positions of some towers and if I have free time in the evening I will make another attempt trying to pass WAVE 8/8 as well.
With the Fiends I eliminated in today's tournament I reached the requirements to unlock League 2 of Battle mode but that will be the topic of my next post on Soulkeep!

Soulkeep: La mia attività di gioco, i miei risultati e le mie Rewards nella modalità torneo
Il 25 giugno 2024 è stato rilasciato il gioco Soulkeep.
Soulkeep è un tower defense game sviluppato da Double Coconut ma è giocabile direttamente dal sito di Splinterlands cliccando sul simbolo S nel menu in alto a sinistra e poi cliccando su PLAY NOW.
Nel post che ho pubblicato ieri ho condiviso una iniziale overview di questo gioco, l'apertura di 100 NIGHTMARE packs e le mie impressioni iniziali che sono state fin da subito positive perchè Soulkeep è un gioco graficamente bello ed è anche molto divertente.

Oggi condivido la mia esperienza di gioco nella modalità di gioco Tournaments.
Infatti Soulkeep può essere giocato in due modalità di gioco:
-
modalità single player (devi cliccare su BATTLE nella schermata principale)
-
modalità torneo (devi cliccare su TOURNAMENTS nella schermata principale)
Nella modalità BATTLE ho completato tutti i livelli della League 1 ma non posso ancora avanzare nella League 2 perchè devo prima soddisfare i requisiti di ingresso che puoi vedere nell'immagine seguente.
Per aumentare il numero di Souls per accedere alla league 2 devo eliminare altri Fiends (i demoni che vogliono distruggere i miei gateways nel gioco) e per farlo devo giocare nella modalità Tournaments che sarà con molta probabilità la modalità di gioco principale su Soulkeep.
Fino ad oggi ho partecipato a tre tornei.
Nel primo torneo non ho superato il primo wave perchè la mia esperienza di gioco era minima.
Nel secondo torneo ho ottenuto la mia prima vittoria perchè ho superato tutti i livelli del torneo.
Grazie a questa vittoria mi sono posizionato al posto numero 77 nella leaderboard giornaliera e ho ricevuto una ricompensa di 17.82 SPS.
Nella modalità BATTLE è possibile giocare in modo completamente gratuito.
Per giocare nella modalità Tournaments

è necessario avere degli NFTs che è possibile acquistare dal Market oppure è possibile trovarli nei Nightmare packs acquistabili nel Market oppure su Hive Engine nella forma tokenizzata (NIGHTMARE token)

è necessario avere 1 tournament ticket
Ogni giorno ogni giocatore riceve 1 ticket gratuito e quindi è possibile giocare una volta al giorno gratuitamente nella modalità torneo.
Il costo dei tickets successivi al primo dipende dalla lega del torneo.
Per i tornei della League 1 il costo di 1 ticket è = 2 Credits oppure 2 DEC.
Nel post di oggi condivido la strategia di gioco che ho utilizzato nel torneo attualmente in corso.
Oggi 27 giugno 2024 è in corso il torneo #15169 che terminerà tra circa 16 ore e 55 minuti e ha un montepremi di 33321.6 SPS.
Per giocare il torneo odierno ho utilizzato il mio ticket grautito.

Su Soulkeep devi distruggere i nemici (Fiends) prima che arrivino al tuo gateway e le tue armi sono Towers e Spells.
Per giocare il torneo ho scelto di portare in gioco come mie possibili scelte:

Ho scelto anche 4 NFT di tipo Spells e ovviamente ho portato in gioco Celine, l'Hero che posso posizionare in qualsiasi parte del percorso nel gioco.
Nel WAVE 1/8 ho utilizzato subito lo Spell CHEAPO che mi ha permesso di ridurre il costo in mana della prima Quad Killer da 150 mana a 105 mana.
Grazie a questa spell ho potuto posizionare fin dal primo wave due Quad Killer towers.
Ho vinto il primo wave senza difficoltà e ho mantenuto intatti i miei 10 life points.
Nel WAVE 2/8 ho aggiunto due towers: 1 Tarantula Loom e 1 Card Sharp
Ho superato anche il secondo wave senza difficoltà e nel WAVE 3/8 ho aggiunto una terza Quad Killer, ho aumentato il range di attacco di una Quad Killer e ho anche posizionato Celine (mi ero dimenticato di farlo :)
Nel WAVE 4/8 ho aggiunto 3 towers per coprire anche l'altro mio gateway perchè in questo wave i fiends proveranno ad attaccare entrambi i miei gateways.
Nel WAVE 5/8 ho potenziato il range di attacco di un'altra mia Quad Killer e ho aggiunto una Jake's Joke tower.
Nel WAVE 6/8 ho potenziato il range di attacco della mia terza Quad Killer e ho aggiunto altre 4 towers.
Nel WAVE 6/8 ho perso il mio primo punto vita ma le mie torri hanno contrastato bene il nemico.
Nel WAVE 7/8 ho posizionato quasi tutte le torri a mia disposizione e mi è rimasta solo 1 Knife Tosser da posizionare.
Ho completato il WAVE 7/8 perdendo però un'altro punto vita
Nel WAVE 8/8 ho posizionato tutte le torri a mia disposizione e ho fatto alcuni upgrade sulle torri. Ho anche utilizzato lo Spell Gear Grease per aumentare la frequenza di attacco della Quad Killer vicina al mio gateway in alto a sinistra.
Purtroppo non supero il WAVE 8/8 e i miei nemici hanno la meglio su di me.
Se avessi superato il WAVE 8/8 avrei potuto continuare a giocare perchè avrei ricevuto altri WAVE bonus per aumentare il mio score.
Ho già individuato degli errori che ho fatto nella scelta degli upgrades delle torri e nella scelta delle posizioni di alcune torri e se avrò tempo libero in serata farò un altro tentativo cercando di superare anche il WAVE 8/8.
Con i Fiends che ho eliminato nel torneo di oggi ho raggiungo i requisiti per sbloccare la lega 2 della modalità Battle ma questo sarò l'argomento del mio prossimo post su Soulkeep!
