Going The Distance is a rule that only allows the use of cards with a Range attack.

Going the Distance rule

For this reason, using the ability Return Fire, which reflects part of the damage received by the attacker, is one of the best.

Return Fire Ability. Half of the damage dealt will be reflected back to the attacker.

Reducing the attack of the opposing team and increasing that of your allies are also excellent options that will greatly increase the chance of winning the battle.

There are cards that have one more type of attack, in addition to Range. These can also be used, and are good options to put on the front line.

Abilities that are usually very good in other rules are also good in Going the Distance. This is the case with Tank Heal, which regenerates 1/3 of the tanker's life each round, as well as Repair, which regenerates 2 armor points from the ally who has taken the most damage.

You can surprise your opponent offensively by using monsters with the Snipe ability, which attack whoever is in the first position in the back line.

And to defend against this, if you think you might be taken by surprise, just add a monster with Triage.

However, for this to be useful, all the rules must allow it. I faced a battle in a tournament with rather peculiar rules, which prevented me from following the tips above (which is not to say that they don't work).

In addition to the weekly challenge rule, I had to deal with Back to Basics, which removes all the monsters' abilities, making it difficult to choose my team.

Back to Basics rule

Not only that, but the amount of mana was extremely limited, just 12 points.

I then decided to choose the summoner Lorna Shine, which provides the ability Divine Shield to my entire team, being immune to damage on the first attack they suffer. I added as many monsters as I could, which was 4.

My opponent chose Quix The Devious, reducing my allies' attack and speed.

This, then, was the positioning of both teams. You can see that the only chance of me losing the battle was because of the wrong attacks, since the difference in speed between my team and your tanker was high.

Image from thread

In the first round, there was a mistake. Each of my monsters could hold off up to 2 attacks, since the last one to attack on the opponent's side had 4 points of damage, more than their life.

But in the second round, my biggest attacker managed to hit and eliminate the enemy's tanker, decreeing victory for me in advance.

Despite the valuable tips I gave at the beginning of this post, it's not always possible to apply them due to the diversity of variables in the game, which make it very dynamic and unpredictable. However, they will come in handy many times, and it's worth remembering them whenever you face the rules of this weekly challenge.

I hope you've learned something that can improve your gameplay. If you've read this post so far, thank you very much!

Regra Going the Distance

Regra Back to Basics

Image from thread

Image from thread

Image from thread

Image from thread

No entanto, elas irão servir muitas vezes, e vale a pena você lembrar delas, sempre que for enfrentar a regra desse desafio semanal.
