Heavy Hitters is a rule that gives all monsters on the field the ability Knock Out. It is responsible for causing double damage to those under the effect of Stun, an ability that has a 50% chance of leaving the target stunned for one round, unable to perform any action.

Heavy Hitters Rule

So basically, you should try to use cards that have Stun, and let the rest of the team carry out the eliminations.

Image from thread
Stun Ability. The heavy hitters rule will only work if you have a monster with this ability.

To defend against this, the ideal is to place a tanker with Immunity, an ability that makes its holder immune to any negative effect.

The battle I faced with this rule was a little difficult, as there were many restrictions. Firstly, only neutral element monsters could be used. Secondly, they all had magic reflect, making it difficult to use cards with this type of attack.

As a summoner, I chose Yodin Zaku. It would strengthen my Ranges, in addition to the Blast ability it provides to my entire team, causing extra damage to monsters adjacent to its targets.

I've added two monsters with Stun, one of which is the tanker Chain Golen, and the other, Cyclops.

I've added two more Ranges. The first, Venari Marksrat, removes the Flying ability from targets who have it, as well as removing their armor. And the second, Tower Griffin, which in addition to damage is a good support for providing 2 points of armor for each of my allies.

Finally, two cards that have no attack. The Scavo Hireling, which regenerates 2 points of armor for those who suffer the most damage, and the Chaos Agent, which I left in the last position because I believed the opponent might come up with a monster with Sneak.

This was the positioning of both teams. The opposing tanker has the ability Flying, as well as some armor points, making my Venari very efficient. He also brought a monster with Sneak, just as I imagined. He didn't prepare in any way for the Heavy Hitters rule, as there was no monster with Stun, and no tanker that was immune to negative effects. So the battle looked favorable for me.

In the first round, my tanker stunned his opponent, which would have made it easier to eliminate him.

Then my Venari finished him off in the second round with a 6 damage attack.

After the third round, victory was already clear for me, and it was confirmed in the following round.

The Heavy Hitters rule, despite being simple to play against, requires attention. It seems unhelpful and therefore overlooked, so you can take advantage of it and catch your opponent off guard. I myself confess that for a long time I treated this rule as useless, which is why I lost several matches.

I always try to follow the tips given at the beginning of the post, putting a tanker with Immunity in front and adding attackers with Stun, which is the most correct way to play against this rule.

I hope you've learned something from this post. See you later!

Regra Heavy Hitters

Então, basicamente, você deve buscar utilizar cartas que tenham Stun, e deixar que o resto do time realize as eliminações.

Image from thread
Habilidade Stun.
