Having predetermined strategies is a good way to win battles without having to rack your brains to figure out what to do. Depending on the set of rules, you won't always be able to use the same cards you usually use. But if you know how to be flexible, having some cards that you'll use most of the time, while others will complement them according to what's coming up in battle, you'll have a great chance of being a winner and keeping your winning percentage positive.
However, there are times when even though we believe that this is the best time to use such a strategy, we are surprised by another that ends up beating us. This happens when the opponent finds a weak point in it, on purpose or even unintentionally.
This happened while I was in a ranked battle. There was only one ruleset, called Aim True, where there is no possibility of an attack being missed.

At the front, I put Noa the Just. He would be responsible for removing the opposing team's armor, making it easier for my attackers to eliminate their targets.
Right behind him came Baakjira. It would be a kind of second support, because as well as slowing down the enemy team, it gives +1 life point to each card in my field.
In the middle, the two attackers, Deeplurker and Isgald Vorst, who attack the opponent's monsters with the lowest amount of life.
Finally, the Chaos Agent, which would only serve to hold off some attacks and protect my attackers.
And the summoner Pembrook Nymph, responsible for allowing me to put Vorst on the field.
My opponent selected Lily Shieldpaw as the summoner, which makes all attacks be directed at the one in front.
And for that position, he put Inevitable, who is an excellent tanker, which already made my attackers' job too difficult, since their target would be him.
2 supports were added to help protect him,
and 2 attackers to eliminate my team.
With that, my defeat was literally decreed before the start of the match, as the healer regenerated 4 points of life, while the other regenerated 2 points of armor. And since I only had two attackers, there was nothing my team could do.

In fact, I made some mistakes using this strategy. The amount of mana didn't fully favor the way I set up the team, and it would have been more interesting to replace the Baakjira with two other attacking cards or even cards that provided some kind of support. This doesn't detract from the merits of my opponent, who would have beaten me even with the adjustments I could have made.

Ter estratégias pré determinadas, é uma boa maneira de conseguir vencer batalhas sem precisar quebrar a cabeça para saber o que fazer. Dependendo do conjunto de regras, nem sempre será possível utilizar as mesmas cartas que costuma usar. Mas se você souber ser flexível, tendo algumas cartas que você usará a maior parte do tempo, enquanto outras irão complementar elas de acordo com o que virá para a batalha, você terá grandes chances de ser um vencedor e manter seu percentual de vitórias positivo.
No entanto, há vezes em que mesmo acreditando que aquele é o melhor momento para usar tal estratégia, somos surpreendidos por outra que acaba nos vencendo. Isso ocorre quando o oponente encontra um ponto fraco nela, propositalmente, ou até mesmo sem querer.
Tal fato aconteceu enquanto eu estava em uma batalha nas rankeadas. Havia apenas uma regra, denominada Aim True, onde não há a possibilidade de um ataque errar.

Na frente, coloquei o Noa the Just. Ele seria responsável por remover a armadura do time adversário, facilitando para os meus atacantes eliminarem seus alvos.
Logo atrás, veio o Baakjira. Ele seria uma espécie de segundo suporte, pois além de diminuir a velocidade do time inimigo, dá +1 ponto de vida para cada carta do meu campo.
No meio, os dois atacantes, Deeplurker e Isgald Vorst, que atacam os monstros do adversário que possuem a menor quantidade de vida.
Por fim, o Chaos Agent, que serviria apenas para segurar alguns ataques e proteger os meus atacantes.
E a invocadora Pembrook Nymph, responsável por permitir eu colocar o Vorst em campo.
Meu oponente selecionou a Lily Shieldpaw de invocadora, o que faz todos os ataques serem direcionados para o que estiver na frente.
E para tal posição, ele colocou o Inevitable, que é um excelente tanker, o que já dificultava demais o trabalho de meus atacantes, já que o alvo deles seria ele.
2 suportes foram adicionados, para ajudar a protegê-lo,
e 2 atacantes para eliminar meu time.
Com isso, minha derrota já estava literalmente decretada antes do início da partida, pois a curandeira regenerava 4 pontos de vida, enquanto o outro regenerava 2 pontos de armadura. E como eu havia apenas dois atacantes, não havia nada que meu time pudesse fazer.

De fato, eu cometi alguns erros ao usar essa estratégia. A quantidade de mana não favorecia totalmente a forma que eu montei o time, sendo mais interessante substituir o Baakjira por outras duas cartas de ataque ou até mesmo que prestassem algum tipo de suporte. Isso não tira os méritos de meu adversário, que me venceria mesmo com os ajustes que eu poderia ter feito.
