A day of celebration with my loved ones
Celebrating birthdays with the family is the best. A few days ago, we were lucky enough to celebrate the birthdays of two people who are very special to me: my nephew, who turned 3, and my niece, who turned 13. This celebration was very important to us, especially for my niece, as it was her first birthday without her mum; her passing was very recent and it still hurts a great deal. My sister wanted to make it a very special day for her.
Celebrar cumpleaños en familia es lo máximo, hace días tuvimos la dicha de poder celebrar el cumpleaños de dos seres muy especiales para mí, mi sobrino de que cumplía 3 años y mi sobrina de 13. Está celebración era muy importante para nosotros sobretodo por mi sobrina, ya que está era su primer cumpleaños sin su mamá, su partida está muy reciente y sigue doliendo mucho. Mi hermana quería hacer un día muy especial para ella.
That’s why, for the first time, she was having a birthday party by the pool, which she would share with her school friends. She was really excited for the day to arrive. The venue that had been booked had a lovely space where she could enjoy herself with both family and friends.
Por eso por primera vez se le celebraba un cumpleaños en piscina y que compartiera con sus amigos del liceo. Ella estaba súper emocionada porque llegara el día. El lugar donde se reservo cuenta con un hermoso espacio para poder disfrutar,tanto en familia como amigos.
There was some simple decoration and he received several presents from his classmates; from the start of the party, which began at around 10 o’clock in the morning, until it was almost night-time, they were enjoying the swimming pool.
Se realizó una sencilla decoración y recibió varios regalos de sus compañeros, desde que inició la fiesta que fue a eso de las 10 de la mañana hasta ya casi noche, estuvieron disfrutando de la piscina.
It was a day full of joy and fun for my niece, but when it came time to sing ‘Happy Birthday’, she felt sad; and no wonder – it was her first birthday without her mum. We, her aunts, are doing everything we can to help her cope with her grief. It’s not easy, but I know she’ll never forget this day.
Fue un día para mí sobrina de alegría y diversión, pero cuando llegó el momento de cantar cumpleaños, se sentía triste; y no es para menos, primer año sin su madre. Sus tías hacemos todo lo posible para que ella puede llevar de una mejor manera su duelo. No es fácil, pero se que este día , ella no lo olvidará.
