Hello coffee lovers and friends, welcome to my blog. I'm excited to be making my first post in this community and I do hope you'll like it.

After about nine years of coffee abstinence, I finally indulged in a cup recently. Prior to cutting out on coffee, I wasn't reliant on it daily - it was something I consumed occasionally, and sweetened coffee was my preferred option.

So when, after visiting the doctor, I was advised to cut out coffee temporarily, I didn't make a fuss about it. I simply accepted the advice and adjusted, which wasn't actually difficult. After all, I wasn't attached to coffee, and it wasn't like I was quitting it forever. Moreover, it was for my own health's benefit, so why fuss about it.

However, what was meant to be a short-term change turned into a long-term habit. Weeks turned into months, and before I knew it, years had passed. I gradually forgot about coffee and shifted to enjoying cocoa beverages and natural herbal teas instead.

But change they say, is the only constant thing.

So I visited my sister a weekend before, and while checking up their beverage rack, I stumbled upon this bottle of coffee. "Hmmm, good ol' coffee", I said.

Opening it, I caught a whiff of it's rich flavor "Wow Chocolatey!" I exclaimed and instantly felt a strong urge to indulge in it. The cold morning added to the craving, and I thought, why not give it another shot? After all, it's been years. Moreover, a cup of coffee on a cold morning is just the perfect shot I needed to keep warm and charged up for the day.

With hurried legs, I went to the kitchen to boil water, and then came back to set the cup, all the time reeling with excitement at the thought of taking coffee again after all these years.

But as I made it, I had doubts - "Is this a good idea?" "Will I enjoy it?" and all the "what ifs" - but curiousity, like they say, will alway kill a cat. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Did it kill me? Read on to find out!

Sitting down quietly, I took a moment to allow the rich aroma of the freshly brewed coffee settle in. Mesmerizing.

Holding the cup firmly, I took the first sip, and the bitter-sweet flavor hit me. Another sip, and I was mortified - overwhelmed by it's smooth nutty flavor, which I think was just perfect for a coffee newbie or maybe intending coffee returnee, like me. Lol.

Taking in sip after sip, I couldn't help but feel warmed up, refreshed and energized. There was no need for cake, cookies or biscuits, just me and my cup of black coffee, no sugar, no cream - making memories.

After this experience, I'm considering moving camps, ditching my usual cocoa beverage drink for coffee. ๐Ÿ˜‚ What do you think?
