These photos I share with you bring back memories. Even as I draft this post, I'm beaming with smile. 😀 I hope you'll my story.
When it comes to my choice of outfits, sleeveless clothes rank low. I'm not one to wear sleeveless outfits, nah. Even when I wear them, I'll ensure to put on a jacket.
I'm sure you want to know why. I'll tell you.
It's not like I do not fancy sleeveless wears, I do, a lot though. But the thing is just belief that such outfits wouldn't look good on , considering my slim frame. Lol.
But on this day, I decided to try this beautiful flowered sleeveless top which has been occupying space at my wardrobe. 😅
To be frank, I really felt uncomfortable in it and almost wanted to take it off but after looking myself up in the mirror, I saw that wasn't looking bad after all. Moreover, it was a hot day, which made it a perfect outfit to wear.
Getting to the office, I was met with surprise stares from some of my colleagues. You know that look that says "What! Are you kidding me?" Or "No, this can't be you", and all that.
Well, they hadn't seen me in sleeveless outfits before, hence, their reaction, which I almost misinterpreted, thinking they'll say that the outfit doesn't fit me.
Well, I was ready for the worse. However, it turned out that they were admiring my top and how beautiful I look in it. Oh! the compliments were so heart-warming and I was smiling and grinning from ear to ear. ☺️
One even said that I was made for sleeveless outfits and that I should wear them often. Their beautiful words really added color to my day and I was grateful to receive them.
As I sat on my desk, still basking in the euphoria of the compliments I received, I decided to take these photos to serve as a memory.
Sometimes, we assume that we're not good enough for something, undermining ourselves, when in actual sense, we're way better than how we view ourselves.
I'm glad I no longer see myself as one who wouldn't look elegant and chic in sleeveless outfits.
