Since we emigrated to Argentina, my son has loved going to electronic amusement parks, even if it's just to look. As a child, I imagine he was attracted by the flashing lights and bright colors everywhere, and even though we didn't play the games, he couldn't pass by one of those places without wanting to ride some of them.

When he was still very young (he must have been 3 or 4), we visited this park for the first time, and he was amazed to see a pirate ship, which he wasn't allowed to go on because he wasn't tall enough. But we still walked around the whole place and he left happy.

Ten years later, we returned to the same place, but he didn't remember it, and his look of amazement was almost the same as when we were there for the first time. And whether it was a coincidence or not, this time the ride was undergoing maintenance and he couldn't use it either!

I found it very funny when he wanted to get on one of the rides, and since he couldn't fit, he did it his own way, leaving his legs hanging off the side, which made us laugh a lot when he got off, because he couldn't do it by himself.

One of the new features of this arcade is the instant photo machine, which we left pending to use when we return in January, although in cahoots with my son, I didn't miss the opportunity to take a photo in it, in my best style.

We walked around the place, looking at the prices of the games, so we could make a decision, and after doing the math, the choice was between playing three games or getting some ice cream, and my son, without hesitation, decided on ice cream, because only he would enjoy the games, and to my delight, he always tries to include me in his plans, so he thought it was better to go for two ice creams.

But since it's already common for him to go to the games and find ways to cheat the system by activating one by mistake, he didn't hesitate to try his strength with this mallet, while I did the same, trying to get a stuffed animal out of the machine.

At the end of the day, it's those moments that are out of the ordinary that are most memorable, and that's exactly what I want him to remember about my outings, because just as he didn't remember his first visit, he might not remember the games either, unless he was lucky enough to win a prize.
