You know what, I can't just keep these things to myself. It's just better for em to say it out and have a little peace in me. You see, these days I can't help but wonder how people are really surviving, like how a lot of people still have smile on their faces. Even though, in all honesty most of it is either fake or forced, but with the situation of things in this country, how is faking or forcing it still possible.

Presently, surviving a day in my country can now be seen as an achievement, you wake up thinking about what to eat, how to make money, how to o about it and how not to get kidnapped too. Most people if not all aren't even concerned about living well, for most it is simply about making it till tomorrow, maybe by tomorrow they can actually live well.
According to statistics, over a hundred and twenty million Nigerians are living in multidimensional poverty. Not even abject poverty now, multidimensional one. Meaning the issue isn't just that they are struggling financially, but that they are lacking basic amenities. Like good health care, education, water, housing, clothing and all of those basic needs.
And as if all of that isn't enough, insecurity has now been added to it. Life has now become harder for us all. Farmers can no longer go to their farms, traveling on road is now a risk or better still 50:50, students are now out of school because abductors can storm any school at will and take school children away. Not to talk of the countless villages that the dwellers have been forced out of it due to consistent kidnappings. Nowhere is safe, and our leaders are less concerned.
We tried so hard to manage and live with this high cost of living and all, but then insecurity is now added to it. And it's been on for years, but then it is not getting better, rather it is becoming big and this perpetrators of evil seems to be gaining more grounds. It now seems as if it will not even end.

Even still, Nigerians still seems to be keeping their heads up. We still see Nigerians helping one another and not letting go of that which males so us humans and Nigerians. We are still considerate and compassionate. Parents still do their best so their kids won't go hungry, same way husbands and wife's are doing their best to cover up for one another.
And all of that attributes of ours is great. Very impressive, even still we shouldn't make it an excuse to keep accepting this inhumane acts from our leaders. We don't deserve all of these sufferings... We don't. We keep hoping for a better tomorrow though.
