Not until it stops, I doubt, nope.. I can't even stop talking about it. Not untill it stops and peace began to reign in our nation again. I don't know why, but maybe because I've very close people such has happened to before, I can't just see myself keeping mute about it, or maybe it's because I do out myself in the position/shoes of those who are in their captivity.

Every single day we hear bad news, mostly of kidnappings and abductions. We complain about high cost of living and feeding but then, we began to adapt to it and live, eve though it's not so fine, we kept mute. But tell me how we are going to adapt to insecurity. How? The saddest part is after a few days of any abduction we keep quiet about it while the families of their involved are left to suffer.

A few days ago, I was reading a post, I saw it on three different Media platforms, it was alleged that the kidnapped school children in Oyo state who we were told are still in the bushes of Oyo state are no longer there, it was alleged that they are now somewhere in the northern part of the country. Now, if that is true, tell me how they got there? How did those children travel such distance with their abductors and no security operatives saw them? How did they move from one state to the other... Just how?

And it seems the answer itself isn't far fetched,ba lot of people, influential people and our security operatives are involved in this. Earlier this week, I was watching a podcast and the person shared a story about how one of his family members was kidnapped, and another family who was sent to deliver the ransom asked got lost on his way to locate the kidnappers, surprisingly he got to a checkpoint where soldier officials are and he told them about it. To cut the long story short, it was this military personnels that he saw at thee checkpoint that led and showed him the way to where this abductors are. Just imagine, not just means they know them and are a part of them, now tell me who we cms trust... Who?

And this is a time we really need to be careful. We shouldn't allow tribe, race, religion, and social media noise to divide us. These are the tools our politicians are making use of to distract us from the real issues on ground. This government is frustrating, I can tell you that for free, it just seems we are going from frypan to fire in Nigeria. And if it continues this way, to me it can only lead to two things, either the people get so tired and rise up to demand for better/a revolution, or we become so tired of that we just keep mute about the happenings. This second option will obviously do us no good.

Something relating to this was treated some weeks back in the @sam.hangout community and I will love that you be a part of it too. There are various topics and all being treated there every Friday. Tomorrow is another "weekend hangout." Do well to check it out.

Because as the next election approaches, it's very important that we vote wisely. I won't be saying you should vote for A or B, but I will beg you to please vote wisely. Vote your conscience and let go of the thought that, "our votes don't count." Vote your conscience. Don't vote for rice and 5k please... If we want change, then we have to play out part as well.
