Hello everyone 🤠
It's my first time writing here.
So, I've been thinking about something a lot of us use, and that's the smartphone. I've noticed how a lot of people see a smartphone as something to just make calls with, chat, surf the Internet/media with, and all of that. And in all honesty that was how it was to me as well some years back, today my phone is much more than all of that.

Thinking about it now, I can say that all that I do have one thing or the other to do with my phone. I woke up this morning and said a short prayer, immediately after that what I reached out for was my phone, not because I'm addicted to it, but because it has become a tool for me, all of my day-to-day activities are mapped out on it and I need to time myself and see what needs to be done first. That way I'm able to write, respond messages, check the news and weather and then set out for the day's mapped out plans.
And in all honesty I'm grateful to technology. Because tell me how a device as small as a smartphone can be able to do this much. My phone is what I use to write, I blog with it, I learn with it, I respond to messages and reach people both far and near with it, I communicate with client with it, I take orders with it and all of that. I'm into catering work where we get called to cook and make amazing dishes for events, celebrations and all, I'm also into graphics and the likes, and with my phone I've been able to take countless orders of frames, magic mugs, and various customized items and also abel to deliver it. And with it I've gotten to meet people I would never have known.

There are day's I even set aside to respond to messages and allow people do anonymous. Just a way to allow people voice certain things they can't hold in out, a lot of people have things they want to let out, and they would love to stay anonymous just so they wouldn't be judged or seen differently, that's why I do that. Other times I just use it to blog and share my thoughts just like I'm doing at the moment.
And it's not always easy, there are times I need to post, or need to reach a customer, or just need to be online but network/service will just decide to frustrate me. Other times its a low battery that will make the day feel somehow for me as I will be bent in finding a way to just charge. Those things can be so frustrating at times... electricity and network issues.

There are times I event think what my life would be without a phone or access to the media spaces. Because look at the various, beautiful, intelligent and amazing people I've been able to meet because of it, the various connections I've had, and the various communities I'm able to engage in and with at the moment. All of that might/would not have happened if not for a smartphone and the access to the Internet. I still hear of places that lack things like this and I can't help but wonder how come, in this age and time....
A phone is just a phone to a lot of people, but to me it is my workspace and workplace, it opens me up to opportunities and allow me connect to people in different places. I'm just thinking about it this morning and thought to let it out, how that something that's pocket-size can hold such a big part in my life and be this important.
And I will like to ask what that smartphone is to you as well, is it just a device to call, scroll and all, or it's something more?
