This season has been rough for me in modern league. This is the last season before we shift over to the new Conclave set. It will mean Chaos Legion will no longer be playable in modern league. My eyes are set on trying to buy more cards, but I first need to earn more DEC.
As of now I have been trying to rent out more of my cards to build a nest egg of DEC. It has worked out all right the past two seasons but I am readjusting my rent prices come new season. The reasons for me to adjust prices is mainly due to supply and demand. It appears there is not a lot of cards out in the market for rent and now I think is a good time to raise prices. With some of my rentals falling into land production I think I can rake in more DEC.
I am currently renting out 108 cards and pulling in about 6k DEC for a season. That comes out to around 375 DEC a day per a season. Not bad but I have some marginal gains if I adjust my rentals in cards used in land plot.
That is 23 cards out of 108 I plan to adjust prices in the next season. I have canceled the rentals and will raise prices to what market is currently offering in hopes to pull in more yield.
As of now going rate for 7500 PP card, mainly legendary beta and legacy reward, is 1 DEC per 150 PP at lowest. This means about 50 DEC per day.
For epics at 5000 PP card, some where around 100 PP per DEC. This is more expensive to rent max epic than legendary therefore more likely I can pull in more DEC just by adjusting my rental prices.
The end result is to pull enough DEC so I can invest in the game some more. Over the years I have collected a steady amount of liquidity in the game and have reinvested back in. Whether it is SPS or DEC I have generally invested it back into Splinterlands assets. It has worked out so far and I continue to build my collection through more purchases.
Long gone are the days of lower and lower prices for Chaos cards. Now it is off its lows and steadily climbing. I hope there maybe some discount come next season. Time will tell if it was worth the wait.
Meanwhile as I continue to play daily I was able to earn some reward chests and this is my haul.
