As any new things arrive its all nice and shiny. The temptation to spend on these new items would leave me at a lost since I am mostly holding Hive and the token price has been falling. Still it is nice to see the game updating with new items to sell.
One of the items are for a limited time players can get new skins. Since I do not have any of the cards shown with those specific skins it would not benefit me in holding these. On the other hand legacy cards I have plenty of skins.
It is nice to see Splinterlands proposing future availability of trading skins so I hope it can do legacy skins.
I have common and rare alpha/beta set skins and rarely use those cards such as Brawls. It would be nice if I can profit from selling some of these skins.
Another set of items now available is the scrolls. One can spend Aura to swap for scrolls or spend credits / DEC to purchase scrolls.
We can even trade these scrolls on third party markets now. It appears it cost less such as on monstermarket.io
A common scroll cost less than 40 DEC! It is too bad we can't buy on open market and sell back to Splinterlands to earn the difference.
As tempting as it is to buy items I am reminded that I my previous card purchases of the past have fallen in price significantly. I can just look about two years ago I made a Chaos card purchase on peakmonsters.
Now the card on open market at max level is under $2.
I over paid by 125% relatively speaking. I am going to keep stacking resources and see where these new items lead but for now excited to see more assets that can be traded in the game.
