About seven years ago, I never imagined I'll be this into crypto and learning into the vast world of Web3. I was one of the many who thought crypto and all about it was for those who have money and can risk the money they have. Around 2018, I had my first encounter with crypto by a friend who thought it'll be best to invest in Ethereum.
I can remember very well that I had zero knowledge of the coin even after I saw it on the wallet they helped me create. I was even wondering how the coin could turn to actual money back since I paid my own currency to get it, I wondered how it will convert to my money if I needed it back. I was a silent skeptical learner.
The friend who brought me into the knowledge of simple terms and how the little things work in Web3 did a great job, it opened my eyes more to see the potential of having wealth built in a space that's not traditional like local banks, it was fascinating. My journey got more fun when I was introduced to a write-to-earn platform, Uptrennd.

Oh my goodness! I couldn't express enough how happy I was to have found a space like that because I was a lover of writing and reading. But deep down, I didn't believe it would pay me real money until the very day I got my first pay. I got my first and major wake up call to Web3 when I withdrew from Uptrennd just before it crashed.
Writing on a space with likeminds, learning from those who thought it wise to teach people to love Web3 more and earning while at it, I thought I was having a blast already but I was introduced to an even better platform that till today, I can't thank my onboarder enough for sharing this goodness with me. Hive has changed the game.
In my first year on Hive, I'm sure many around at that time could tell the story, how enthusiastic I was with everything I did as a newbie, trying to grow and be more knowledgeable with anything I could as regards to Web3, content creation and online connection. I didn't wait to withdraw out of Hive to know that I was in one of the very best.

Here on Hive, four years and counting! I've gone from knowing little about crypto and Web3 to being a teacher in bringing up more enthusiasts. It didn't happen all at once, I had to learn so much and I keep learning. I joined countless contests, initiatives, attended Web3 space meetings and I was always ready to explore a new opportunity.
I've not only learned things about crypto and Web3 space through Hive, I've also learned the skill of discipline and consistency that is helping me in many aspects of my life. My financial side of life is not struggling, thanks to Hive and I'm always grateful to the first day I came across Hive for all the things I have achieved till today.
I don't think I was biased or disbelieved what the crypto or Web3 space had to offer, I was only skeptical if I'll do well in learning through it but today, the story says otherwise, I'm enjoying all the goodies and more to come that the space has to offer. Hive has strengthened my resolve about Web3 and the exciting journey continues.
